Not a big fan of loan signings in our case usually means we are desperate. I know all clubs, doesn't matter what league you are in use loan players. Not long to wait now. I will miss some games due to holidays.

Does anyone know anything about Ivan Inzoudine? A 27 year old left full back or wingback, according to X we have signed him and immediately loaned him to Kalmar FF due to work permit issues. I am not sure how true this is but David on X is an impeccable source.

27-year-old fullback Ivan Inzoudine is now ready to play for Kalmar FF and joins on loan from English League One club Burton Albion FC.
“ IVAN INZOUDINE READY FOR KALMAR FF July 20, 2024 Today it became clear that 27-year-old fullback Ivan Inzoudine is ready to play for Kalmar FF on loan from English League One club Burton Albion FC.
Jörgen Petersson, Sports Director Kalmar FF - Ivan is coming here on a loan that lasts for the rest of the season. This possibility appeared after dialogue with Burton with the rules that apply to work permits in England, where we can borrow him on favorable terms. He is a fast and intense player with good passing feet who can play both wingback and left back. Burton believes in him very much and has signed a longer contract. For us, it's about protecting and strengthening a position where we had injury problems during the spring.
A longer interview with Ivan will be available shortly on kalmarff.se.”

He is actually making his debut in around 20 minutes, absolutely
Correction: He’s on the bench

I spotted it as soon as it was on Twitter earlier.
I'll admit along with Bajrami this is certainly the weirdest transfer we've made this summer.
I've honestly no clue what to make of this one. Given the low levels and lack of gametime he's had to far in his career. Is it a 'stats/data' signing?
I'm certainly not moaning and I'm excited for the future, but I do wonder exactly how much thought has gone into some of our signings. Some just seem strange.

I thought they were all stats/data signings Fred? But is this what we are getting wrong within the British game?

27 years old out on loan. Why? Not long now to wait.

27 years old out on loan. Why? Not long now to wait. He is currently unable to get a work permit for the UK. The club clearly think he's going enough to wait a few months for.

Kalmar are currently in the relegation play off place (14/16) in the Swedish Allsvenskan Nice 12000 capacity stadium... 3 tier seating on one side, 2 tier on one side and one end, looks like seating above standing at the other end...well that's how I see it.. We need that mix of standing and seating at the Pirelli imo... images.app.goo.gl/qBMeiDkFu7zFTQnh6

I wasn't sure, and did not want to liable myself. So we brought a player who might not be able to play for us because he can't get a work permit. Who says he will ever get a work permit? Brilliant. So we had a proven left back, more or less thrown out the club for nothing. I bet Lincoln City are rubbing their hands. What a load of plonkers Burton Albion are. Not long to wait now.

I don’t think that either Burton Albion or the guys from the Nordic Football Group are plonkers Andrew. I have only been impressed so far.

Thanks Luke. Looks like a proper left back, with proper tackles, crossing balls into the box and actually passing to his own team mates and looks pretty quick too.
