www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/0204-pos/BURTON Albion Players’ Awards night 2023/24 will take place on Wednesday, April 24, and we want you to choose your Player of the Season. The most prestigious award handed out on the night is the fans’ choice as the best player of the current season with the coveted crystal football being presented to your winner. The award has been presented for more than 50 years and has been received by some of the most famous players in the club’s history including four-time winner Phil Annable, double winners Darren Stride and Lucas Akins and last season’s Player of the Season Sam Hughes. As always, the choice is yours with your votes deciding the winner. To vote for your Burton Albion Player of the Season 2023/24 complete our online vote here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/H23ZXL3Or fill in the voting slips and post in the box in the Club Shop during normal opening hours and at the Oxford United home game on April 6. The closing date for votes is Monday, April 9, at noon. You can only vote for one player, who must have made at least eight first team appearances this season to be eligible, and you can only vote once – which is why we ask for your name (and address or email). Multiple votes will not be counted.

I've gone for Crocombe, we'd be already down if not for him. Although his performances have tailed off a little of late and some errors have crept in, it's understandable however given he's been so busy in most games.
Sweeney is another mention and could push him a close second. Brayford has done well enough, despite a dodgy start and injury early on.
Apart from that, nobody else is really in the conversation. I get the feeling if Powell had been played further forwards he could've got himself into double figures, but that wasn't to be.

Anyway it was Brayford, Captain Fantastic for me.

If you mean Hudlin Mikeyboy, he's about as good in the air as Andy Ducros!

Only one choice for me... if it wasn't for some of Max Crocombe's performances, we'd be down already!

Crocombe, sweeney and brayford are the only candidates for me Agree they're the top 3. Powell probably 4th despite being played out if position all season.

I know the likes of Crocombe, Sweeney, Brayford and Powell have been half decent in a dreadful season but I made a snap decision and voted for Carayol as he is the only player we've got capable of getting you out of your seat. Hardly used, probably due to fitness, but I always think he looks dangerous when he comes on and can make things happen. Shame he isn't 10 years younger. Probably get released and forgotten about but I quite like him. So there! Point made!

I agree with you, when others are never going to get a goal in this league.

Things always look more promising when Muzza comes on ,he does add a bit of sparkle with his play.I would rather have him on the bench than say Hackford or Kamwa.

I've always wanted him to start a few games, comments about that range from, he's too old to last and better coming on as an impact player. I think he's fit enough (looks it) to last 60-70 mins so why not give him more starts?

Agree with most on here and with Colston's analysis, but I have voted for John Brayford. He's already achieved legendary status and I suspect that he had offers to move elsewhere, but has remained loyal (and fairly remunerated in the process I am sure).

I agree Ilson, that’s what influenced me too. Leads by example every game.

Brayford for me with his constant blocking of the ball in our goal area. Also he keeps battling and even scoring ......
