1 point more than I was expecting coming in, and especially after going a goal down

a very much deserved point - well played Brewers! I did feel we could get something today and good to see MP making sensible changes to bring it about. Glad we didn’t have to throw the big man on this week.

Good point but we're looking certs for relegation.Even if we win the next two home games,it will still be a struggle. The other teams around us are picking up the momentum.

In isolation it’s a good point, but others winning makes it feel like a defeat. Have to win Monday. Will they be out the traps quick after losing at home today ? Hope not.

A decent point? Definitely would have been if we had taken 4 points from the previous games against Carlisle, Exeter & Vale.
So really today due to MP dire sitting back tactics we needed all 3 points as Wigan were ok but they had nothing really to play for, unlike ourselves.
Some decent performances today but why bring Hackford on when we have Kamwa sat on the bench when we needed a goal in the later stages. Must have an agreement with Sheff U??
We would have lost the game without Brayford today! Would Bray or Moon have been left out if Sweeney was available?
We’re now relying on others around us to mess up!!!

If we are honest it does look a lost cause at the moment due to our form. We will know a lot more after the Oxford game a week tomorrow I reckon. If we go down it’s completely self inflicted in my opinion. Bad signings, bad appointments, and dreadful tactics will cost us over 46 games.

Loads better today. Right from the off, you could tell we were up for it. Still difficult to see anything from the next 3 games but somehow we will need to get something. What was up with Sam Hughes at the end?

Much improved but its too late for good performances; we need points.
We've had it, haven't we?
Barnsley will take today's defeat out on us. There's no way we'll win on Monday.
If only we'd played against Carlisle and Port Vale the way we played today...
Gilligan dropped for the next game? He added a bit of bite today - something we've been missing.
It could've all been so different- six points against those crap sides (no disrespect!!) and we'd be safe.
The table looks horrible.

What was up with Sam Hughes at the end? They mentioned the thing with Sam on the reaction show on Radio Derby. One of his family members was taken ill during the game so he was just making sure everything was OK, which it turned out fine in the end.

In isolation that was a good point and a reasonable enough performance and a draw was a fair result. However, the fact of the matter is that with 4 of the 5 teams below us winning(the very worst scenario that could have happened given Fleetwood and Cheltenham were playing each other) that survival is now out of our hands and we are, as we have been for weeks, relying on others dropping points rather than getting them ourselves.
We started OK and we were keeping them at arms length until the calamity defending between Moon firstly and then compounded by Hughes. You feared the worst and a fourth consecutive 1-0 home win for them looked well and truly on the cards. However, we started the second half brightly with Hugill hitting the post and then deservedly equalised with Brayford who wanted that loose ball in the six yard box more than anybody on the pitch. We then had a couple of half chances and you felt the game was there for the taking.
However, the key to how the game ended, which was basically them on top was that they made 5 substitutions before the 65 minute mark which gave them time to get up to speed and finish strongly. By this time we hadn't made any and waited until around 78 minutes before making a change and then made two on 88 minutes. Unfortunately none of our three made any impact(in fact barely touched it) and the momentum we had for 10 or so minutes after our goal was lost and we were on the back foot at the end and had disappeared as an attacking force. Inexperienced management well and truly to the fore i'm afraid.
So onto Monday where we play Barnsley who are getting pelters from their fans for losing against Cambridge. Let's hope we can take advantage as it's now or never.

I actually thought Martin had learned from previous games re substitutions annable. He was more thoughtful and discriminate as previously his ‘spray and pray’ tactics hadn’t ever worked. Ola Adebola got on as he’s a decent lad and looks like he could make it at EFL level. So replacing Bennett on 79 was ok, bringing Deji on for Helm on 88 was also a tick in the box. I am not sure about what Hackford brings to the party but maybe (as someone said on here previously) maybe we have an agreement with Sheff Utd that he has to play. Possibly re his wages. But for me it was better from the manager and brought us a point.

Jonny Smith managed about 65 minutes then went off with hamstring problems ,nothing changes there then.

Keggy I like the way you are still staying positive. I feel like I have been kicked in the balls and it bloody hurts. It's all too late I can't watch anymore. ðŸ˜
