He fronts up because he knows he has put everything in to his performance, unlike many others.
You saw him hurt in the corner, struggling to get up, but after 3 or 4 attempts he limped off and carried on.
A proper player and someone who the others should aspire to.
Hats off to him for fronting up. Shows the measure of the man.

Yes an honest assessment and one that gives a glimmer of hope that it could be turned around. It’s the kids up front that worry me - surely the worst decision I have seen in nearly 60 years of watching. Maybe we could get away with playing just one of them - Hugill or Adebola, with Bennett, Kamwa, Carayol, supporting and providing the nous. But please let’s not be thinking that Hudlin or Hackford are going to be a threat.

up front has been a problem for a couple of years or more though. which is why we were all so excited when Stockton joined. such a shame he didn't settle / Dino fell out with him (*delete as appropriate)
who was the last forward that really looked the part? Liam Boyce? Sam Winnall?

As time on the pitch for both Boyce and Winnall was restricted by injury you might have to go back to Stuart Beavon to find a regular goalscoring striker.... and he left us in 2017... (Tho I admit I struggle to remember half the players who were here last season)

We've had some half decent striker's in recent years, but we set up like a side that doesn't want to score, so what hope does any forward player have.
We're more interested in trying to stop the opposition scoring for 90 minutes, and when they inevitably they do score, we're screwed.
