and if we end up in L2, Conference?. We’d have missed the boat somewhat… But your calculations assume that every single visiting team sell out 4,000 away end tickets. How many visiting teams actually sell out their current allocations? Answer, not that many.

On the subject of selling out of the away end ,Ben said in his interview with Dave Fletcher the other night that Port Vale had only sold 300 tickets for Saturdays game,I dare say it has gone up since but looks likely they might not fill out the away end as they normally do.

Answer, not that many. The away end has been filled on well more that 100 occasions in the last 10 seasons. I stopped counting at 120, at current prices that would have brought in revenue in excess of £7,500,000 in gate receipts alone. But that includes 2 promotion seasons and 2 in the Championship, as we aren’t likely to be heading in that direction again at anytime in the near future, we may have missed an opportunity but I believe there are commercially viable ways of legitimately adding to our revenue.

The Vale twitter says they are at 900 now, considering they sold out or were close to doing so in November, really shows them voting with their feet

Thanks for that Luke ,I assumed they would bring far more than the 300 ,I would think they will bring probably 1200 ,but they certainly don't seem happy with their current plight.Let's hope we can add to their woes tomorrow.😁

So we play away at Exeter in yellow shirts and black shorts, meaning all 20 outfield players plus the 3 officials are wearing black shorts.
We playvat home all in yellow.
Stuff like that irritates me.

I’d have thought the predicament we are in at the moment, the colour of our shorts was the least of our worries.

We play in yellow shorts, we did at home on Saturday. The previous home game the officials and the away goalkeeper were all wearing orange. It is just basic stuff. The laws of the game are clear: 3. Colours The two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each other and the match officials Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from the other players and the match officials If the two goalkeepers’ shirts are the same colour and neither has another shirt, the referee allows the match to be played.

I don't know why we've adopted the wearing of yellow shorts instead of black at home. Any club who have black as a second kit shirt (us) are going to clash with the officials shirts, traditionally black forcing a change there. Any team, you know when visiting a club as an away team what the home team kit colours are, or should do, it's surely basic stuff to to know?
