The faces behind the passionate boss says it all. I saved and posted that photo to my mates on WhatsApp this morning too with the title “Passion”.

The faces behind the passionate boss says it all. Being a grumpy old curmudgeon, I am not keen on this celebration that he has introduced. Frank Lampard did something similar and that Livrtpool manager. But, if I have to see it every game, I'll put up with it.

Not for anyone who was actually at the game. Mom with 50% successful pass rate. Helm was the midfield heartbeat and very good. Sweeney (aka Sweendog or Paulo Mal-Sweeney) outstanding at the back another contender for me. After a dodgy start to his BAFC career, Sweeney has been immense of late.

Not only is Sweeney a fine defender, I like what he does up the other end. Has a touch and doesn't give anything up. Won a corner chasing a lost cause yesterday when most centre-halves would have been trotting back to their position. No doubt someone would have covered that while he went

I must admit I was asking myself (but not saying) shouldn't you be trotting back to your back line position? while at the same time admiring his commitment to winning the ball back near their corner flag

When he came in during the summer he looked uncomfortable on the left side of a three and was exposed positionally a few times. When he came back into the side it was on the left side of a two in a flat back four and instantly looked more assured. Since then he has grown and become a real lynchpin of the defence, even though we have now switched back to a three.
Clearly, having skippered a championship winning side in Scotland last season he has leadership qualities and for me, is probably the leading contender, of all the outfield players for Player Of The Year. (I think Max will win POTY).
Toto is a solid defender, some of his clearances went in strange directions or to the opposition yesterday but ultimately he got the job done and nicked an important goal.

My recollection is slightly different.
I don't think the previous manager fancied playing him until he had to, barely at all in Sept.
I agree he did look a little uncomfortable in one game in a three, but not sure he always has. I think he can play that role, but for sure he looks good with a decent full back.
My type of player to be fair, so far my player of the season.

Like many he had a fairly indifferent pre-season and having not featured at Blackpool started the next three games against Leicester, Derby and Shrews before being dropped again and only really got back in when Jasper got injured in September and our good run of form had just started. To be fair, in that first month of the season, hardly anyone played well until we went to Vale and won. Has clearly grown in confidence throughout the season and is a proper defender. I’m a big fan. Like I say, outfield POTY for me.

Has had a decent spell out injured and only played in 22 out of 40 games so far this season. Has played well when in the team but missed too many games at this stage, in my opinion.
