Too far for me mid-week. Rather hoping it might be on iFollow but no signs yet that it is going to be.

Tough game definitely, a very hostile environment and we know were the 50/50 decisions will go,and we have put egg on their faces before. One of the juggernauts in this division and after failing against Coventry, Parkinson is already hyping up the game against one of the best teams in the league and winding his players up like a elastic band, and is aiming for top 6 tues. I will be glued to ifollow, After Peterborough our injury's must be telling, the crowd will influence the ref,and their players, will think its a cup final. it could be part of a bad week for the brewers, its a loss from me, and the few fans who go, enjoy your visit hope you have good journey, stay safe, if you bring any points back they will be priceless.

The stadium of light will be like a morgue with only 20.000 in it. Capacity is 48,000.
I think we will get something here. We have a good record against them.

I know what his dad would be saying and I'm 99.9% sure Nigel will be hammering it home as well.
Keep them quiet and don't give anything away for the first 15 minutes and the home fans will make the atmosphere toxic for their own players.
We are good enough to get something from the game but they'll come out of the blocks flying.
The Sunderland fans are more than ready to chuck Parkinson under the bus already. his record so far and the style of football he has them playing has not won him any friends at all.

Safe journey to all the hardy souls who are travelling up to Sunderland tonight and hopefully you will bring back a positive result.
Looks like they are really bigging the game up tonight and some even talking of sacking the manager if we beat them which is madness.
My gut feel is that they will just nick it after we play them off the park for long periods and fail to take our chances and they break away and score. That just seems to be how things are at the moment but I really hope i'm wrong.
COYB!!!!

Stephen Quinn, take a bow son. One of the best midfield performances I've seen for a long time. Scotty Fraser, take a bow son. One of the best driving forward second halves I've seen for a long time. Liam Boyce, take a bow son. You ran your balls off & got your goal.
Class.
Honorable mention goes to Ryan Edwards as well, his pressing was sensational.

What a result! Much deserved and we played the better football. Everyone worked their socks off as usual infront of a massive crowd for L1. Got to say that's the best I've seen Edwards play 2nd half, Quinn was outstanding yet again also in breaking up the play and finding Fraser at every opportunity. COYB 👍🏻

I had to turn the radio volume down, that booing at the end🤫 Nice that you had commentary. I'd have loved to have listened to the reaction of my home town mates. ifollow was silent. Not a bad way to watch to be honest.

An outstanding away display and great result. I thought Boyce was immense tonight and answered his critics in the best way possible with an excellent strikers goal. Fraser and Quinn were also outstanding and Ryan Edwards had his best game for Burton Albion. O’Hara and the back 4 also looked very solid and we saw out the game comfortably. A great result lads.

Enjoyed that performance. Reminded me a lot of the Oxford game earlier this season. Whilst we so have a small squad we do have some quality. I spent some time in the 2nd half watching Edwards - crikey he covers some ground during a game, you can't fault him for that effort. Glad he got his goal.

Some (most) of Boycies play tonight was brilliant. His flick for the first goal shows the kind of stuff he's capable of and I'm delighted he got a goal. Just a couple of times, first half with his chance, he's hit at the perfect height for the keeper and then second half where he could have played Scotty in and returned the favour a couple of minutes after Scot had laid it on a plate for him. Having said that he did superbly well to square one for Lucas who possibly should have done better. That's me being hyper hyper picky but when you see some of the stuff he's capable of, you expect his quality to be there all of the time. If he plays like that until the end of the season we'll be in decent shape. He was very, very good. We looked much more threatening once Temps came on as well.

Like everybody else I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with that result and let's hope it kick starts our league campaign where without getting too ahead of myself we have a set of good looking fixtures in the next couple of months especially at home.
It was good tonight to be able to see a game through where our achilles heal this season has been letting leads slip. The only minor criticism is that having taken the lead we had chances to make it three and four but didn't and although it worked out ok tonight you leave yourself open to a 30 yarder going into the top corner or the ref giving a dodgy penalty as we have see in games this season.
Let's hope we can start moving up the league by winning a few games on the trot now starting against Southend next Tuesday.
Well done everybody!!!

Is it that Boyce now has 8 goals?

Not a bad way to watch to be honest. Radio Derby AM band. I whipped the TV over to sky sports and they said the booing from the stadium was very loud at the end. I heard it quite plain on the radio when we equalised and frequently from then on.
