Great to read such an in depth article on the DET, they're usually much shorter. Good to see how much his manager rated him and will be interesting to see if an how he develops with us. If he turns out to be anywhere near as good as his old man, we'll be in good shape. Also a nice interesting link to the Alex Bradley article, he's been very honest there. Man alive young players and agents. www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/burton/alex-bradley-burton-albion-move-3048007I understand what he's saying about he needs to earn enough to get by and it makes me wonder just how little we're able to offer in wages. Having said that, I agree with Alex's own point that we did him a favour in January and probably expected him to be grateful and just sign the deal. I hope the lad gets fixed up and doesn't regret the decision. Watching Nigel and his old man in management for nearly 35 years now, I've lost count of the number of times they both will have said to a young lad, sign this contract, you'll get your opportunity in the first team and if you're good enough to take it we'l rip this one up and get you on improved terms straight away. Roy Keane's first contract was £210 a week as a first year pro, six weeks later he was playing at Anfield, 2-3 months after that he was on 2k a week, a regular in the side and by the end of the season he was playing in Cup Final's at Wembley. If you're good enough to make it, sign the contract, it gives you a year of training to prove you're good enough.

I would expect a contract to reflect how many games you have played, like you i admire Bradleys honesty, and telling it how it is. Money is tight at Burton, what West Brom can afford is on a different level. Burton Albion's main draw is opportunity. It is refreshing to see honesty in the game undisclosed is a word very popular
