Luke (the other one) or Hope. I would maybe give Akpan a chance.

Andy G said of him yesterday, he's earned a place on the bench for Reading, maybe a chance to step up.
Luke Varney, ok a striker but why not take Murphy's place, he can hold it up and distribute it ok from what I've seen. Whether he's quick enough in that role remains to be seen.

Who'll take Luke Murphy's place? What has happened with Matty Lund? a good player IMO, he seems to have vanished.

Thought Matty Palmer would come in.

Who'll take Luke Murphy's place? What has happened with Matty Lund? a good player IMO, he seems to have vanished. The last word on him, re Burton Mail, Andy Garner. Asked about the absence of Lund - who did not come off the bench against Sunderland - and whether that was down to selection or injury, coach Andy Garner said: "We have just picked an 18 that we think can get us a result today."
That's it no more mentioned about him. When I look at my footbal app he's mentioned as being sidelined with "illness" Never seen again after the Sunderland game or on the bench, a mystery, anyone? It was at that particular time Cloughie mentioned "sulky subs" is he really ill, who knows?

Lund was there yesterday, doing a bit of a warm up. So didn’t make the 18, assume he’s fit

Lund has had a virus that has left him weak and short of fitness. Getting back to fitness and did the warm up yesterday but not 100% match fit just yet

Yes I'd like Lund back too, hopefully he gets better soon. Some turkey tomorrow should sort him out.

Murphy a big miss. Lund and Allen brought to strengthen midfield , Naylor must be leg wary and probably 90 minutes asking a lot, Time to deliver 23 games gone Must have talent Nigel brought them om board. Lund=Allen, and Parmer.with Akpan, should control midfield, Naylor will always give 100 per cent. Leeds Utd boxing day at the Pirelli. Still does not feel real, will take a draw all day

Thanks for the update
I had assumed describing Matty Lund as having an illness was code for him being the sulky sub
Espacially with the "illness" continuing
If for one moment he has been pissed off about not starting I've no problem with that PROVIDING he channels the frustration well and works even harder when he does get another chance
If not then he has to be released
If it is a genuine illness then fair enough I put 2 and 2 together and got 5

A bore draw 0-0 would be just great today brewers. Set up similar to the Reading match.

No Luke Murphy is problematic. He's a cover for defence and tends to do alright.
I wouldn't like to see Mcfadzean there. Lund could play that role.
Akpan isn't really good enough either but if he's improved as AG suggests he has then why not...

Think I would put Naylor there and start Matty P Who as the back line ? I see no reason to change the back 4 after the last 2 games.

Leeds IMO are one of the best quality teams in the League
They've won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 League games
This is a very tough game today and IMO of we could get a point from this (however ugly) it would be a huge result for us
