Well they've played 8 mins of extra time
But we have won
And only us and gillingham in top 8 won so the results around us are superb
Third place 5 points clear of playoffs with game in hand on playoff challengers and the two above us.
That has to be one of best results in JFH time with us

3 points, 3rd place! So much for being distracted! Would have won 3-0 if we weren't distracted!! Lol

This is an absolutely HUGE result. Wigan were on a great run, one of the best teams at home in the league, and doing very well. It sounded like an even game with equal doses of luck (we had chances they had chances etc) Nice to see that Thiele was the key for the goal. Hopefully that'll do his confidence a world of good. I also bet £5 on Burton 1-0 so I'll walk away with my £65 .

Cap off a wonderful result with a statement. You know it ain't going to happen though More chance of a statement from QPR saying they are talking to someone else than JFH ruling himself out

MATCH STATS Wigan Athletic/Burton Albion Possession. 56%/44% Shots 3/5 On target 0/2 Corners 9/2 Fouls 9/12
Someone there said it was a bit of a smash and grab, but swings and circles, it's 3 points.

Post on FB from someone there... "Thiele made that goal ! What a run by the lad ! 1-0 " He sure did. Broke from our half ran straight at them and cut it across for Nasser to put the ball in the empty net Must have been inspired by my top tips at Fans Fitness on Monday He seems a top lad, I just hope he hits the back of the net soon. Saturday would be good!

It was a great result and well done to the guys that braved the M6 on a foul night (I did it in the opposite direction and it was not pleasant).
On to Saturday, seems a long time since a home game, I am looking forward to it!

So we stopped a team, who were 5th, at home, on a 6 game unbeaten streak, having a shot on target?
That's pretty good if you ask me!
*on my phone no idea how to turn bold off...

That was our 6th away league win and 9th league Clean Sheet this season, in 18 games (I think )

Wish OPTA would keep us updated with the stats! I reckon ours tell a good story.
We're the Manchester United of league one at the moment haha

Just got back, great result, we were awful for 75 mins up to goal, various players looked out of sorts and we were shaky defensively but as has been mentioned above Timmy latched onto a ball down the left channel and put a low ball into the box and Nass stroked it home to turn it into a good night. Goal woke us up and we closed out the game relatively assuredly, although one of their players somehow managed to hit the post when it looked impossible not to score, and we should have scored another late on via Naylor or Akins.
