It seems like we may have forgotten about this game! Thoughts etc? I don't believe Burton have ever been to Wigan. Let's christen it with a drubbing... Or 1-0 Would be nice to get a victory vs a good team like Wigan on the road.

Mind you that was the old Springfield Park and we got thumped 5-0, hope there is no repeat tomorrow !

Definitely hope that isn't the case. 71/2 may have been about 20 years before I was born so I don't remember it

I'm heading up for this, just packed 5 layers as I suspect it's going to be the quintessential oft-quoted cold wet Tuesday night in the north west...

Robbie will be available for Wigan and Shane probably not. We have Weir, Naylor, Butcher and Reilly all available for CM and Moose, Flanagan and O'Connor for CB. I'm happy with whatever Jimmy decides to do. Regardless of how we do the odds are that we will still be in the top 6 come Saturday, though there is a chance we could be 7th. Wigan have won 3 in a row but we are doing ok. The Peterborough game was a blip with 5 changes in the squad. I thought we were the better team and should have beaten Bury. We just need to finish, so let's do that at Wigan.

Naylor and Weir for me, and Moose and probably Flanaghan, close call the second one. Not sure we are doing ok, 3 defeats on the bounce against teams in our League. Would take a draw now.

I think probably Weir and Butcher might start but not bothered either way. Depends on the style Jimmy wants to play. But we have had 2 losses in the last 5 games, as I said Peterborough was a blip with 5 changes and we should have won at Bury, or at least tied. Beavs and Nasser missed sitters and they scored an absolute fluke goal. I know, we din't win.

Hopefully we make a come back. One game this season all our shots on target will go in and we'll win 7-0

My mistake, this would be three defeats should we lose, not that we have had three in a row. Anyway, here is hoping that the boys do bounce back and as elkhayatiisgod has said, start to his the back of the net. Perhaps the ketchup can come out of the bottle for the whole team!!!

I hope manager and players heads are fully engaged for this.
It's hard with all the speculation
Would take a draw now tbh

I would think that Weir and Naylor will start in midfield ,I am thinking that Butcher will be left on the bench due to the fact he has 4 bookings and if he gets a fifth either tonight or Saturday he will get a 1 match ban , but after Saturday if he gets booked there is no suspension until you get ten I believe .

I see the logic but by not playing him to avoid a 1 game suspension he's actually missed a game anyway so to speak Doesn't really achieve much

Would be quite happy with a point here. A tough place to go even if they weren't in good form but i fancy us to get something from the game.

We still have seats available on the Beech coach if anybody needs transport up there The voice of reason speaks! Get yourself up to Wigan, I can't go though I agree there is no point to sitting a player because he might get a booking, he didn't do that with Naylor. Anyway we have plenty of cover if he he did get another caution, but you are right about the numbers...if he doesn't get a 5th before Nov.30th then... If a player accumulates 10 cautions before the second Sunday in April they get a 1 match ban (providing they did not get a ban for 5 before Nov.30th) and 2 in a game = red does not count in this total If a player who has served a 1 match ban for 5 before Nov.30th accumulates a further 5 (again 2 in a game = red does not count in this total) by the second Sunday in April they will get a 2 match ban. If they get the 10th after the 2nd Sunday in April they get a stern talking to?

Bookies odds suggest were going to get battered.
Hope they're wrong! Wigan haven't lost at home all season though

Score predictions?
Taking a step back being a Burton fan, I think either 1-0/0-0 to them

If we were better at scoring we would have a good chance but I have to agree 1-0 loss or a most welcome 0-0.

Fingers crossed hey!
Team:
McLaughlin, Edwards, Mousinho (capt), O'Connor, Flanagan, Duffy, Weir, Naylor, Butcher, Beavon, El Khayati. #Brewers
Who's playing left back? What's happened to JBW/McRory?
Must've missed something!
