From the Burton Mail www.burtonmail.co.uk/Burton-Albion-chairman-dismisses-speculation/story-27758463-detail/story.html?Not surprising really but at least we have him on a two and a half year contract. The obvious comment to make is that anyone who would want to work under Barry Fry is in my opinion brave to say the most, but there will always be clubs such as the Newcastles, Leeds Uniteds etc which are on the look out for the latest best thing. It is again a mark how far we have come that Peterborough Rent such a big step up now. Certainly to me JFL would want a bigger leap in managerial status than them and I would suspect that he would ideally want somewhere nearer the south ie nearer home so that he could have an easier family life..

That would be a very sideways move.
If he's going to go it'll be for a championship team wanting play offs like Rowett or a battling PL team (IMO)

While JFH continues to do well he is always going to be linked with vacant jobs, personally I would be very surprised if he went to Peterborough or any other L1club, but ultimately if he continues to progress he will move on to bigger things so all we can do is enjoy the moment and hope he stays for the foreseeable future.

So the reason the odds dropped is due to who JFH follows on twitter?
JFH follows me on twitter which confirms two things.
1. He is an immaculate judge of character.
2. The story is absolute nonsense.
Hope this clears things up?

Also joint 5th favourite with the bookies for the Doncaster job after they sacked Dickov. Cloughie is 3rd favourite. Could we face a Cloughie side this season in the league after all?

Hope this clears things up? Just done a bit of twitter stalking and found out that JFH also follows Andy Murray and Roger Federer on twitter. That obviously means he's planning to take up tennis coaching instead of football! Now i'm worried.

This time last year I predicted Birmingham would be the club that took Rowett from us at some stage
With JFH I think it will be Leeds or Forest tbh (you can argue all you want they are bad places to go but they would offer 5 times the salary)
Certainly not Peterborough

JFH also follows me on Twitter but I'm not expecting him to turn up and start pulling some cables in for me!! As said he will be rumoured for most jobs.

I see this morning that in his press conference, as expected, he said he has no interest in the Peterborough job at all.
Whenever a manager does well the bookies link them with any and every job. I think JFH has more sense than to pay any attention to this

It was a story as his odds fell sharply from 33/1 to 6/1 on Monday...usually means big betting patterns!
They seem though to have been influenced by his following Adrian Durham and the Peterborough chairman on Twitter. Spoke to the chairman yesterday, no approach, and Jimmy himself seemed surprised by the speculation this morning, so all good!
And when I say "his" Twitter account, it's in Jimmy's name but as far as I know, he doesn't operate it himself.
