Great news that. Right then. Here's one for you...are we the first ever English league club to sign a Luxembourg international footballer? Nope... Who were then?

Hopefully this is the goal scorer that we were wishing for Now if we can solve the conundrum of how to pack in more money-earning away fans into the Pirelli without upsetting us Brewers fans, all cp's prayers will be answered - tho I hear Ben's ducked this one by declaring that no away side will get more than the away terrace + the usual away seats or should I say, Ben's weighed things up and put the Brewers fans comfort ahead of increased income......

Well then....let's hope our man is the first Luxembourg international good enough to make double figures in English football (if I've read the table correctly)

Things have been quiet on and off the pitch re: Joachim. The little I have seen of him he appears to be a strong physical presence. Initial feelig is he will be a good player for us if he can get/stay fit. Jimmy has said he needs to get up to speed with the english league. and he is bringing him on slowly as he did with Kelvin, Naylor and Nasser last season and is also doing with Ant, the Callums, JBW, Timmy this season. and will no doubt do with Flanagan, Charles (when fit), Zeli (when fit) and Hoyte if he is still around/signs. "AURELIEN Joachim hopes to learn from Burton Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The 29-year-old has signed a one-year deal at the Pirelli Stadium, with the option of another year, after leaving CSKA Sofia in the summer. An international for Luxembourg, Joachim has arrived at Albion looking to compete with Stuart Beavon and Timmy Thiele for a starting role up front. Joachim made his full debut after three substitute appearances against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night – impressing with his hold-up play and physical presence against the vastly experienced Jonathan Woodgate."
