Being linked to a move to Preston North End on Twitter...

I've always thought he was a great pro and great attitude
However he's not a ball playing defender IMO
I don't think he fits the style that JFH wants us to play
Which is fair enough as long as JFH is at the helm but should he move on then we will need another manager who preaches the passing game etc
All this IMO

Preston must think he can play and do a job for them though
Would be nice if there was a transfer fee involved if he does go
Age 29

It would be a shame to see Phil go he is one of my favourite players and gives 100% every game, IF he goes you can't complain, at his age he has to take the opportunity, plus we have just signed a young left back!!

I would be very sad to see Phil leave. He has been an essential part of our back five and he is ever reliable. The way our squad is building though, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see a couple move on, especially if they are being offered a decent deal elsewhere.

Be sorry to see Phil go. He is a great pro, and gives everything to the cause. Since he has just signed a one year deal, there must be a fee involved, and we certainly have some strength in depth now. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one other goes before the window closes. I trust in the club to do the beast for our team.

The Burton Mail Brewers journo has said that he understands there's no truth in it. Just a twitter rumour apparently.

So do I actually. If I'm being perfectly honest I'd be amazed if bigger clubs aren't sniffing round Mousinho.

I would be sad to see .mr. Dependable go but if he does we have Naylor, Maynard, Butcher, O'Connor, (Pearson) who can play there.

Mousinho would be a huge loss
Some players are nice to have and some are need to have. Mousinho is need to have for me.

Yes I don't think Spence should scare us like that Mouseinho epitomises the team.

Yes I don't think Spence should scare us like that Mouseinho epitomises the team. Sorry You know what I mean, though? I watched the league one play offs to get some idea of what to expect this season and with the exception of Tom Clarke at Preston I didn't see anyone as commanding or committed as John. I'm gobsmacked that he's not even been mentioned in any rumours.

I thought Gary Rowett would have taken Mousinho by now tbh

Glad Phil Edwards is not going anywhere, he's a real piece of cement that holds it all together, good club man and motivator.

I know what you mean spence, and I am nervously hoping that his being subbed today wasn't because a bigger club said "ok, get him off now and we'll pay the fee you want"! And optimistically hoping that he has told his agent that he wants to stay here and to not publicise any interest from other clubs. Fingers crossed!
