A totally different lineup than what started on Sat. Vs Brum.
...............McLaughlin
Maynard, Flanagan, Moose, Taft
........Butcher (Duffy), Reilly...
...Andrade (Lucas), Matty, Zeli (Nasser)
..............Thiele.....
The new trialist tonight was CB Tom Flanagan, #6, from MK Dons.
They did fine, and looked good for the most part. Flanagan messed up for one of the goals calling for the pass back from Kelvin but Vardy heard and picked the ball off Flannys foot and scored. Something went wrong on the left side that allowed a cross into our box, Deano came to save but Vardy flicked it over for the 2nd goal.
A nice few Passes on the left between Nasser and Duffy led to a nice goal from Duffy.
I like the look of Andrade, and regarding Timmy Thiele, he was playing on his own vs PL defenders like Huth (though I thought he went to ground a little too quickly a couple of times).
Very happy in general, but these are friendlies (maybe someone should tell Vardy that!).
Probably Vardy was rubbing it in that he didn't go onto better things via the brewers. He was after all the one that got away, if we had been more on the ball he wouldn't have done.
