He is already under contract for next season and I understand this deal is a 2 year extension to that. Absolutely delighted he has signed and buying into the Brewers future. Any club wanting to sign him now will have to pay a substancial transfer fee, if he continues to progressas he did last season that may well be a possibility.

It is a new 2 year deal to replace his current contract. This I presume gives him increased income and keeps him at the Brewers until the summer of 2017. That is what the Mail says.

Not only well done to Jimmy and the club on securing Nasser for two years but well done Nasser too.
It's an absolute pleasure to see a player like this come along and then show some commitment to the club and the manager, who helped pick him from obscurity.
We see it so seldom these days, with players who make a big impact and then move on almost immediately as the pound signs flash in front of their eyes. I appreciate a footballer's career is short and life is about putting food on the table for your family but appreciation and commitment to those who help you along the way is equally important sometimes.
Well done Nasser, you're well loved by the fans and for me just the sort of club man we need. Can't wait to see that winning smile on display again and watch a player who clearly loves every minute that he's on the pitch!

Yep, that's what it sounds like! Excellent news! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33285624"We have got big plans for Nasser," said Hasselbaink. "He's getting interest here and there. He's been doing very well and we're very happy with him. "He's someone in the group who's very much liked and he's very different from the others. He wants to learn, his attitude is second to none and he wants to play football. "Every single day he misses football, he gets moody because he wants to be on that pitch and he wants to train, be involved. "I can't ask for more. You know how it goes - he's a good player who can easily play a step higher and people know that, so you're always going to get interest from other people, when those kind of things are happening. "It was a must that we gave him a long contract (because) we want him to stay here. "He's part of the plans and he wants to be here - he thinks here is his best place to progress, learn and be a better player. "He believes in the club and his teammates, and in the development of himself as well. For now, here is the best place for him." In the feature Nasser talks about his commitment to football and his faith and how he has helped the club's community trust build stronger links with Burton's muslim community. BACT's head of community Andy Taylor was also interviewed and explained about the trust's visit to the mosque in Uxbridge Street recently, which was attended by Nasser. At the mosque Nasser was interviewed by BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat for a piece that will air before Christmas. Excellent...we needed some good news, with all of the injury worries and suspensions both current and looming.
Well done Nasser, I reckon you've got a bright future in the English game and Jimmy and Co. are just the guys to help you move forward in your career.
