Up the Brewers
It's time to celebrate our team for all of their success, the term to use, in our cause, is "steady relentless progress". We've had our little set back along footballs rocky way, but through it all we've reached the stage that we are at today.
We used to play our non-league game proudly at Eton Park. To ever play league football seemed a crazy shot in the dark. Our team was well respected in our non-league competition. To reach to Conference level would be the height of our ambition.
The major factor to proceed was the move to our new ground. Further ambition was near to hand, with a business plan so sound. The Pirelli Stadium then became a most vital commercial hub, and also obviously, the proud home of our super football club.
The dream came true one sunny day, and close to Morecambe Bay. The team came out determined to win, in fine style and good play. It was time to drink some beer, and also cheer, this very new transition, from modest non-league dreams,to League One's loftier position.
I remember reaching the football league in a tense day at Torquay. A memorable day, we determined to earn, a League Two members key. Now in just a few seasons we reach the new height of League One. This is mainly due to our Chairman Ben, for the great job he has done.
