I think its a journey of 47 seasons for me, Burton Albion has been a major part of my life all that time and continues to be so. What has been achieved has really sunk in today. I always knew the club had potential after the 79/80 FA Trophy final replay at the Hawthorns that night. Ben has laid the foundations for all our dreams and beyond. League 1 it is for us next season and although the bookies and the pundits will most likely tip us for relegation, I have realised the majority of them don't really know nowt about us ! So ignoring their hogwash I am quietly confident we will be just fine in league 1. Too true Terraceman, the national media are just as ignorant, the only time they discuss BAFC is to fuel speculation that our manager is going elsewhere.

I've only been following Burton for the last 5 years or so and as many it started as a second club but there is something about Burton Albion that pulls you in. It is now proudly my first club and also a few mates are starting to come more so it's having the same affect! bring on League 1 That's a really interesting comment Brewster, forgive the terminology, but I think a lot of locals who support Premier league and Championship clubs will not see us as "tinpot" any more with us in league 1. I started bringing a Man Utd fan along last season(proper fan who attended United games), he comes quite regularly now and wearing an Albion shirt, he's already stated he will come to some away games next season ! So I'm beginning to think our fan base could grow a little in this way.

I have been watching the brewers for 10 years now, the first 3 when I lived further south I was an occasional supporter (when we were in Burton for the weekend). Since we moved here in 2008 I have been a regular at home games and the occasional away game, and I do feel more and more like this is my first club. Witnessing the promotion from Conference to League 2 and now to League 1 has helped to drive that. As well as the changes we have gone through with managers and players, a great ground, the association with St. Georges, it's all a perfect parcel for me. The latter part of this season I could only see positives and believed, well before they actually did, that good things were going to happen. It just felt right.

Keep the faith Brewster...I can see a long future in following the Brewers for you. Plenty of highs and hopefully not too many lows, they will infuriate you sometimes but at the moment it's nothing but smiles all the way and you'll have to forgive us older ones remeniscing on where we've come from. It's a long way from the days I went on the team bus as a junior supporter, with Ritchie Norman's team to Dunstable Town, to what I was lucky enough to witness at Morecambe yesterday. You will understand nostalgia more, later in life but believe me...we're enjoying this ride just as much as you and we simply find it incredible to be in this position. COYB!

I've already got my 3 year old daughter cheering Burton on, All the wife's family are Manchester United fans so I had to get in quick before she ended up wearing that rubbish.
