There was a fantastic atmosphere at Morecambe today throughout the whole game, and of course immediately after the final whistle had gone at the Wycombe game. Well done to our team, the whole club and supporters. A day I never thought I would see

I'm waiting for Jeff Stelling to thank me for pointing it out!! He's probably too preoccupied with the Monkey Hangers. Two from the current bottom three in the conference next season. A nervous couple of weeks for Jeff now, methinks!

We've done it on merit. Who needs playoffs? The bubbly has been flowing at kel,s. Memories of the journey from Southern League to League ONE and all who took part are flooding in. I'm getting quite emotional. COYB

27 years ago this August bank holiday my Dad took me to my 1st football game. It was a Beazer Homes Premier League game between Burton Albion and Bedworth United. Now, OK there were a few years of kicking around in the same division, but it is astonishing to think that we will be in the 3rd tier of the professional game next season. So very proud of everybody at the club this season, and all those who laid the groundwork over the years. Bedworth United FFS!

Fantastic achievement, next step is to be at the same level as that outfit up the road. Not really bothered if it's still in league 1, it would bring a big smile to my face after all the years of mates from Burton, laughing at me as they trudge up the A38 to watch their "big team".

I quite like the piss-taking. I smile to myself as I imagine their clubs going bust.

Post of the day for me - I'm some years after you in starting to watch the Brewers and I have another 1st team (who have been replaced), but today was one of the top ten sporting days of my lifeā¦

I was a part time supporter on and off for a few years after that, and if my Dad hadn't been such a tight git he'd have taken me to Derby instead. Small mercies. Applauding the team today there was a moment when I was taken aback by the complete surreality of it all. We have the best team (or maybe 2nd best, we'll see) in this division and have done so without a sugar daddy, just a local lad made good who has provided a blueprint for the vast majority of clubs in England (which they will continue to ignore). Here's another name from my early seasons watching the Albion. Bashley. Bashley FFS!

I really do have great respect for the clubs history (even tho I wasn't a part of it) and I respect all of the long term supporters who stayed with the club through the years. And I love heating and reading your stories. I do!
But right now we are experiencing a new part of the clubs history to be, and we still have a job to do to win the league. I would choose to focus on the latter for a couple of more weeks? The job is not done yet!
Again, no disrespect intended to anyone. I love the stories but I also don't want to lose focus on the job at hand right now! This is a brilliant time to be a Brewers supporter!!! COYB!!!

Peacock we aren't playing the matches - we are fans discussing them
Don't think anything we say on here will imppact the focus is the players to win the League
Plus there's only about 20 of us posting !

I have watched the Brewers from the first match, I was eleven and lived in Wellington Street so you can imagine my feelings. I was there yesterday and was over the moon for Ben and all the players and staff, well done everybody.

I can only imagine jackbrewer. Can you remember who were the reigning Champions of England when we kicked off that 1st season? If not, I'll give you the answer.
Portsmouth.

Incredible achievement. I went on the train yesterday and two of the grounds we passed on the trip are the Giant Axe, Lancaster's home ground and the DW Stadium, home of Wigan Athletic. I appreciate Wigan may still save themselves but it was almost a reminder of "what was" and "what is to come" but what we're experiencing now is a million miles away from the likes of Marine, Vauxhall Motors, Emley, Bradford PA, Droylsden etc...all the clubs we were playing when I first started watching the Brewers. I appreciate that for me it's a big leap but a lot of people's memories of the Brewers are a lot longer and for them it's an even bigger one!
Onward and upward to the next adventure!

I think its a journey of 47 seasons for me, Burton Albion has been a major part of my life all that time and continues to be so. What has been achieved has really sunk in today. I always knew the club had potential after the 79/80 FA Trophy final replay at the Hawthorns that night. Ben has laid the foundations for all our dreams and beyond. League 1 it is for us next season and although the bookies and the pundits will most likely tip us for relegation, I have realised the majority of them don't really know nowt about us ! So ignoring their hogwash I am quietly confident we will be just fine in league 1.

I've only been following Burton for the last 5 years or so and as many it started as a second club but there is something about Burton Albion that pulls you in. It is now proudly my first club and also a few mates are starting to come more so it's having the same affect! bring on League 1
