Nasser El khayati is named the PFA fans player of the month. Well done to him, and well deserved.

Congratulations Nasser! Quite an honour for someone who has been in the Football League for 10 weeks! Well done and keep it up.

Well done young man. I'm hopeful he will be here next season but I think both him and Matty Palmer will be off to pastures new.

Well done young man. I'm hopeful he will be here next season but I think both him and Matty Palmer will be off to pastures new. I was about to express the same fear about losing Nasser but not with quite the same degree of pessimism or certainty - but reality tells me too that if he continues to settle and impress he's inevitably going to attract the interest of those who can pay him more - I don't know if his contract extends beyond this season but this recognition suggests it might not be a bad idea for BAFC to get something in place for at least the next one - perhaps some loyalty to JFH might help swing it.......??

I am sure he was only signed to the end of this season. I imagine that we will want to re-sign him, but one key factor would be which league we are in. I assume he would be offered a better deal for league 1 than league 2. I just hope JFH has things in hand, or we will lose him for nothing. I also think our chances of keeping him would inherently be better regardless of money matters if we are in fact in league 1 next season.

I'm not sure where I read this and so the reliability cannot be considered to be any better than here-say, but it was interesting to note that that League 1 wages are (on average) twice that of League 2. Which implies that even existing players will be seeking to double their wages for a contract in League 1 on promotion.

Ah yes, it was from the Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance in 2012.

Good info that E7#9, I would be surprised if his contract didn't give us the option to extend.

I would be surprised if Nasser left after 4 months, if for no other reason than the loyalty/feel good factor (I realise that isn't as important as it used to be, and I it's only a hunch) of playing under someone of Jimmys stature in the game. Perhaps we should be more concerned about Jimmy being plucked from under our noses? He is on a rolling 30 month contract apparently which I believe means: -if we sack him we have to pay him 12 months salary -if another team lures him away they owe us his 12 month salary

They look likely to be seeking a new manager next season!!!
