Who would have thought that of the top six teams in our league on Saturdayl, Burton would be the only winner and the other five would get three points between them. Late goals in these matches changed results significantly. The goal for Cambridge (95 mins) denied Shrewsbury two points whilst Burtons goal (90 mins) gave us two extra points. Oxford and Morecombe both scored late goals to deny a point to Bury and Luton repectively. If we can keep our head whilst all others are losing theirs..........! With eleven games left I do not think we will walk away with promotion but I would love us to go clear ahead of the pack. There will be many twists and turns to come in this league.

My only concern is every game is a battle. We aren't that good to win any game easily IMO.
The good thing is neither are the clubs below us so we are certainly in the driving seat.
Points in the bag certainly help but we do still need 15 more from the next 33 available.
We have to find those points one way or another however ugly some may be that come our way.
If we can do it more comfortably than the last couple of weeks I would be happier.

It was unfortunate to drop points vs Accy and Newport but injuries, and new bodies unsettled the balance and stability that Jimmy had built in. Like us every team will or should have off days and it was great to see Shrews concede late for a change. Starting next Sat. we have 3 games in 8 days (but so do most of the other teams) and then 9 days until our last game of March on the 30th. I have said before that by April 1st we should be in a comfortable enough position to see us through the grinding games in April and onto promotion. But now for the lads it's relax and focus on one game at a time.

I'm amazed that after two poor performances which led to defeats, after yesterday we are back to where we were before the wobble happened.
It does go to show that things do even themselves out over a 46 game season and I agree there are probably more twists and turns to come, hopefully more for those below than for us?
I just hope we don't miss out due to some of the silly points we gave away, particularly, Shrewsbury and York away and Plymouth at home to name but a few.
