Full time, we lost, final score is 0-1 Newport. We are still in first place in the League table though. COYB need to get back into a win mode.
Att: 2,974 same old type of number as usual.

It wasn't very good today. Two in a row! is it a blip or should we start to panic?

Wasted the first half completely and at times we looked like we were playing with ten men as Khayati just didn't do it for me. We moved the ball around well but we lacked a bit of Zip and our final ball wasn't good. Calero did well and also Antoine-curier looked a real threat, but it was too late by then. Was impressed with their right full back Jackson? He had a good game.

Heard Hasselbaink's post match interview on the radio. He said we looked like a team that had played two games in a week and Newport looked fresher.
You've got a squad, Jimmy...

My sincere apologies to all Burton Albion supporters for ever mentioning the P word. Top of the league, you're having a laugh.
But seriously we are still top although the gap has narrowed somewhat. We looked like a rabbit blinded by the headlights today.
My feelings are JFH will have learned a lot about himself and his players this week. From my perspective we had the wrong line up out today. McGurk(who I like) is not a striker. I would have gone 3-5-2 today and started Curier up front with Beavon. The service to the forward line was woeful today. Thankfully Shrewsbury are having a bit of a crisis like ourselves and Wycombe are not pulling up any trees. All our rivals play mid-week and it will be interesting to see how they fare, Bury v Luton looking a tasty encounter. Overall its what we do that matters and JFH has a real test on his hands this week.

You put it very well there Terraceman.
Jimmy's "honeymoon period" is well and truly over tonight and the next couple of games will define where we go from these two very poor performances?
We were truly awful today and rarely threatened the opposition penalty area, let alone their goal and how many times did we pass the ball back from the edge of their area, into our own half? Hardly top of the league form!
Today was yet another opportunity missed, to capitalize on our rival's downfall and put ourselves into an almost unassailable position.
Hey Ho...that's football for you; euphoric one minute...depression the next.
Here's to the next euphoric moment!

Despite the poor overall performance, you cannot judge Curier on one 30 minute substitute appearance.
He showed decent touches and quick thinking but as with all players...especially strikers, he needs time to settle into the team.
Unfortunately we are at the business end of the season and settling in periods a re a bit of a luxury.
For me, Jimmy has gone away from his initial policy of changing as little as possible and in the last couple of games it appears he has changed too much and completely lost the balance we had in the side, which was virtually unchanged until the loss of Jacob Blythe?
The obvious move was to bring in Curier alongside Beavon for yesterday's starting line-up and keep the rest of the team as it was but second half, it smacked of panic stations, with the three quick sub's and it never really settled down?
Too many people went off the boil at the same time and that never really helped the substitutes to find their feet and contribute to the game, to the best of their ability?

I agree entirely
Two of the subs were very early and before we went a goal down according to bbc stats
