Mansfield forum seem to think Sharps is about to sign for them. Wouldn't be surprised. If so he could be playing against us on Saturday!!

If Sharps does go to Mansfield I'm fairly sure we won't see him on Saturday.

I heard he had signed on loan for Wycombe ! Pleased its Mansfield instead ! I think Mansfield just beat them to it. Location must've been an issue as well. Can't see why Sharps wouldn't play on Saturday unless it's a loan move which I don't think it would be. I could be wrong though.

Morning, agree location probably was a factor as that is why he left Torquay. I hope sharps does play, it will make for an interesting game.

I would have thought we would have negotiated that Ian Sharps can't play against us on Saturday if at all possible.

I would have thought we would have negotiated that Ian Sharps can't play against us on Saturday if at all possible. I think that rule, where a player cannot play vs his club without their permission' only applies to loans? If he is transferred then there still could be a gentlemans agreement that he doesn't play though, but I can't see why they or Sharps would agree to that. Is the move done or still a rumour?

Playing against one ex player bad enough - def don't allow sharps to play as well
It always seems to have an impact

That's true, players want to show them they were wrong so usually step up.

I see that Sharps is starting for the reserves today against Hartlepool. Shearer also starts in goal.

Thanks for that info funky, from that I would guess Sharps is highly unlikely to face us for Mansfield on Saturday !

Akins started as well, apparently we equalised in injury time through and own goal. 1-1 I believe, could be wrong, only dipped in and out of Twitter.
