I appreciate that there will be ins and outs in the coming month or two as Hasselbaink forms a squad of players that he thinks fit the way he wants us to play, but the one that sticks out like a sore thumb to me is Adam McGurk. Barely 20 minutes on the pitch in the past four games. Rotation, niggling injury or is he on his way?
Other names that I think may be up for the chop are Sharps, Bell and Knowles. I thought Robbie Weir may have also been on his way but he seems to have nailed himself down a place in the starting 11. Also Morris has gone back to Middlesbrough with the Mail's twitter account saying yesterday that the management felt with Akins and Palmer at the club we are "well stocked" on that right hand side. I think Blyth's loan runs out soon as well.
Thoughts? Any other names to add? Would you want to keep Blyth longer? Try and get Morris back?

I go with most of that - it does appear Bell may not be part of the plans. I think Sharps will stay to the end of the season. Moose is making it impossible for him to get back in the team at the moment, but only an injury or red card away from missing a game or two and Sharps is a natural right hands side centre half replacement. With SCS also picking up an injury I would not be liking Sharps to go anywhere (unless he has someone else in mind). Extend Blyth? - Yes Get Morris back - Not particularly Lenihan though is a must for me, be really keen to get him to the end of the season. McGurk - I would be sad to se him go, very talented but hasn't done it this season for a variety of reasons. Personally I would be happy to keep him but if he goes and we can bring in a more natural striker then so be it!

Several things spotted in the main receptiion area yesterday. - Oldfield signing in/registering a short JFH look-alike guy at the reception desk. - Akins and Gurks (both said they were not playing today) heading up stairs to take their seats I suppose. Both appeared fit and happy enough. With them was the short JFH look-alike guy, could he be a potential new signing in January? - Callum said he now running full out, but doesn't know if his loan will be extended. - Scouts from Bristol City and Aston Villa?? Could they be looking to loan us a player? - Uriah Rennie heading upstairs to enjoy the match.

Opinions differ, mine is still as it has been since last season that we need a quality striker. Admitedly not an easy commodity to find. Maybe JFH may have one lined up from Belgium or Holland. Who was that lad who came over pre season from Holland ? He may be more at home with our new passing game. Well someone like him anyway.

The short look alike guy was Jimmys little brother? He has an older brother. Could have been his nephew Nigel Hasselbaink (born 21 November 1990) who is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for Greek club Veria as a winger or striker.

Keep Blyth...definitely for the time being as he seems able to head on, pass and generally cause defences to panic. He's not a prolific scorer but has done very well in his short time with us.
McGurk out...definitely...doesn't seem to be on the same wavelength as any of his colleagues, can't pass and can't score. Probably on a big wage too so get rid and find a goal scoring striker.
Lenihan is very impressive and would love to see him signed at least until the end of the season.
Sharps and Bell are probably on their way out and would do well at one of the stronger Conference sides, to help with a promotion push?
Knowles is a worker but again would probably be better in a Conference side?
Shift those mentioned above and I would think there is budget there to bring in younger and better players to strengthen our promotion challenge...the sooner the better now, as I suspect we will miss MacDonald for at least a couple of games and we appear to be struggling to get Akins fit again?
Good news that Jimmy P is back...similar to McRory's recent return, it's like having a new signing.

In Jimmys recent interviews he said he is actively trying/wanting to extend Lenihan and Blyth. He likes Morris but his loan has ended and not sure what is going on there. If Jimmy gets a few appearances in he should be match fit within a month. If Maccas injury isn't too bad he should be back within the month. That would leave us with Macca, Robbie, Lenihan, Matty, Jimmy, Maynard, Gurks, Akins, Harness (Moose, Bell, Morris and McFadzean?) in midfield.
I still wouldn't mind seeing Lucas given a look up front. Heard a rumour on St. that Belly may be going to Brum to continue with his coaching credentials?

McGurk out for me. Pulls out of tackles and contributes very little and is a selfish player. Knowles I agree could benefit from a spell with a decent conference side. Bell is seriously considering coaching I understand, good luck to him. Somebody to work hard up front with Beavon must surely be JFH's priority in Jan

Letting Ian Sharps go would be a big no-no for me. He's still too good to be a Conference defender and would probably step into at least half the teams in this division.
