Does anyone ever recall seeing that particular 'law' being penalised? The Luton fans were calling for it today and to be fair I thought that interpretation had been repealed, but I don't think it has, but I cannot recall an instance of it being punished?

As far as I was aware it still stands , but very rarely is punished . But what goalies do now is bounce the ball , catch it , and that gives them another six seconds .

I'm not sure that bouncing counts as a change of possession out of the hands, but still I welcome views, cheers

The rule still stands but as far as I have seen never gets enforced, I quite often count when the apposing keeper has the ball and regularly get past 6. You are also quite right, bouncing the ball should not restart the count, the only way he can keep possession past 6 seconds is to drop it to the ground and play it with his foot.

And if he does do that he is not allowed to pick it up again is he?

The Luton fans need to learn how to count seconds. They were counting 2 or 3 for every second.

I suppose that's something.
