www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29572447Whatever you think about Dyke's ideas (of course they come from a commission set up by him, not him on his own…), they are at least helping us to have a proper debate about the future of our game. The B side option may not now go ahead as laid out originally, but hopefully there will be continued discussion as to how we ensure our national game starts to promote English talent into the top leagues. I am hoping that one of these new much needed 3G pitches makes its way down to the Pirelli! Not inside the ground but onto the space that is the 'training pitch' that has stood idle for nearly ten years. That would be a great community asset for the Burton Albion Community Trust. With some changing rooms, a classroom as well, it would be fantastic!!!

Scarification is a very good description of Greg Dykes commissions idea ! Glad to see it has been put to bed, well in its current form for the time being.

Ah, there we diverge terraceman, there is much to commend in the Commission's reports, B teams aside, I hope that there is a proper debate and some progress with firm recommendations to take forward

Good point about the 3D pitch, that would make perfect use of that area and would be great for the town. Whilst on the subject wouldn't it make sense to make more parking on the hotel building site, its clearly never going to be an hotel now and the footings that were done wouldn't be safe to use now anyway, I quite often think what away fans must think when they see our smart stadium with that eyesore in the car park, does it give the image that we have run out of money?

I think we did run out of money. The ground cost a lot more than originally budgeted. It does make sense to expand the car park.

The Chairman did explain the reason for the pub non build at the Fan's Forum. I can't quite remember what he said now. However, he did seem to rule out building one for the foreseeable future. He did say there may be some news shortly about the training pitch, I am hoping that it is a 3G pitch.

Yes you are right funky, Ben definitely said a development would be taking place and he will make an announcement when the time is right. Going back to earlier, there are some good ideas in the commission, my negative remarks refer to the B-league proposal.
