..Post away… From the Cambridge News. Comments (0) Liam Hurst could be in contention for a first start in Cambridge United's trip to Burton on Friday amid fears over Issa Diallo's injury. Diallo came off early on in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Wycombe and was due to have a scan to determine the nature of the problem, which could be related to his Achilles. But Richard Money admitted he was concerned at the severity of the injury. He said: "It's very difficult to say much until he has the scan, but it's not totally innocuous. "It was immediate there was something wrong and by the time we got on the bus, it was like a balloon. "(Ryan) Donaldson has a hamstring problem as well and while I'm not putting him in the same bracket as Diego Costa, he's playing with a hamstring and Ryan is in the same position. "It would be nice to be able to give him a week to recover properly at some stage, but he'll either play on Friday or he won't." Money confirmed John Hunt could not be recalled from his loan deal with Wrexham due to a clause in the contract and added Hurst could come into his thinking for the Albion game, having made several recent substitute appearances. He said: "In an ideal world 30 minutes at the moment for Liam Hurst is perfect and those 30 minutes in some games have put him in a place that's good enough to see him come under consideration." Meanwhile, United lost 4-1 at home to Milton Keynes Dons in their opening Final Third Development League Cup group game yesterday. United scored through an own goal following Bobby-Joe Taylor's cross. Comments (0) Richard Money is certain Cambridge United should not head into tonight's encounter at Sky Bet League Two pace-setters Burton with any fears. United may be "totally depleted" with Ryan Donaldson and Issa Diallo added to the extensive injury list with the hamstring and Achilles problems they picked up in last Saturday's 1-0 reverse at Wycombe. But Money said United would still go with a positive outlook as they look to end a run of three successive losses against the leaders. He said: "I think we just need to perform in the way we did at Wycombe, who were second in the table, although without being disrespectful to them, I think Burton have a bit more quality. "With everybody fit and a really strong bench, this would still be one of the toughest away games of the season. "But we're generally pretty well organised ourselves and we're not easy to play against. "We have to go there with that type of mentality tonight and still play our football. "We did at Wycombe last week and had a host of chances to go and create opportunities or finish. "If we can do the same tonight, you hope people can find the right solution, so we're not going there with any fear or trepidation. "We've got a big belief in the group that they can do well in this league and we know there are problems at the minute and it does affect people and results and performances. "But we have to keep working hard and although I know results mean everything and we need to get the points total moving forward again, I think apart from Exeter, the players have performed." Money said he would have no qualms putting a couple more youngsters on the bench if needed to fill the quota of substitutes. He said: "When I look at benches and they've only got five or six subs, I think it's the manager telling the chairman he doesn't have enough players, but there's always a youth player you can bring in." I understand Cambridge have been suffering a bit of an injury crisis in recent weeks, we on the other hand look like we will be at full strength. Logical thinking points to a home win but as we know league 2 is anything but predictable ! If we are fully focused(and I believe we will be) I fancy us not to lose at least and hopefully put another 3 points on the board. It would be nice to see a better attendance than 2,200 tonight as well !

It's fell on the right shift for me , so I'll be going. I'm looking forward to it as I missed Chelteham on Sat. Agree with you Terraceman, we should win but don't count ya chickens, as they say..

from the BBC www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29372889Southend v Morecombe and Wycombe v Northampton could both end in our favour, depending on how we do. But Bury will 'probably' beat Tranmere and if we draw they will take top spot back, same if Wycombe and/or Southend win and we draw (or lose). Its all too exciting!

Another tough home game. Are there any games in League 2 that are not tough this season? I think not. Great to see Cambridge United back at Burton upon Trent. Winnable for both teams I would suggest but I hope we can sneak this one. Love Friday night football at The Pirelli.

Winnable for both teams I would suggest but I hope we can sneak this one. Love Friday night football at The Pirelli. Never had a soft spot for Cambridge to be honest the play off semi final that we lost put me off them. Albeit that is a bit irrational because I think my sense of injustice at the loss was more to do with some of the refereeing decisions in the first leg. Still, very much looking forward to the game. I also enjoy Friday night football as a one off, gives you a free weekend and the atmosphere tends to be quite good, better than Tuesday nights anyway. I am hoping that we continue with the tempo and quality we showed in the first half against Cheltenham, whilst I enjoy and appreciate the defensive effort that we put up in the second, I would prefer it if we didn't have to defend so desperately tonight.

I'm wary about tonight. Gary said it himself in the article that got posted in another thread that we've got a habit of coming unstuck against the teams on a supposed downward spiral and mentioned the Aldershot and Wycombe home defeats of previous seasons. I would also suggest that you can't read too much into their recent form as Luton are buoyant at the moment and Cambridge were a bit unlucky to have come away from 2nd placed Wycombe with nothing in their last game. The warnings are there for all to see.
Early goal for us please and we should get the three points.

A few stats nicked off Tony Bentley's (Radio Derby) Twitter feed - If Ian Sharps starts tonight it will be his 500th Football League start (I thought that had already happened vs. Newport but that was appearances, not starts) and of the 66 games that he's played for us, we've only lost 14 times.

It will interesting to see the attendance tonight, I would hope for more than 2,200 Albion fans plus however many Cambridge bring. Had a few rough refereeing decisions against them over time, not only the play off semi final but also away during the Conference title winning season when Martin Butler was sent off due to their keeper rolling around in agony and feigning injury.
