I see the Bantams are away to Steve Evans Rotherham this Saturday - might give us an indication of what we might be up against.......but then again it might not, as anything can happen in a cup tie - just ask Kasper Schmeichel.....

Send out the kids. Useless tournament. Let's focus on staying in this league.

Must be a troll from Derby Forest or Leicester - perhaps Birmingham or Stoke - a club no longer in the competition anyway.
I'm sure Gaz will put out a team to win the game and that whoever plays they will be trying to win. The 3rd round prize money (it goes up each round) would be welcome along with the pospect of a lucrative and prestigous tie in Round 4.
Winning in any competition breeds confidence and confidence helps develop winning ways - League or Cup...

The worst draw possible. If we were the only ball in the bag, we come out second!!!. Everard are you sure you know what your talking about regarding prze money for winning each round?!!! This is not the FA cup. I've never seen any mention of prize money, and it isn't mentioned on the Football League site. I think the only money would be from shared gate receipts, which are very poor, plus TV showing, which we won't get. The only way for us to make money would be a plum draw, which we haven't got. I could be wrong, does anybody know? It seems to me that small teams like ours are not really wanted other than to make up the numbers. That is why the draw is seeded, to get us out quickly. It must be galling to see us in the third round, via such a hard route as well.

There is prize money in the league cup but is very small, unless you get to the very late stages

It's a great achievement for our club whatever happens in the next round. We should be proud.

It's a great achievement for our club whatever happens in the next round. We should be proud. I am proud of the achievement so far but with this draw I no longer care about what happens. The league is of overriding importance, playing Bradford in the league will be a bigger game than this. Added to that I anticipate that they will charge their usual £23 for tickets so I guess there will take fewer fans than we did to Burnley a year ago. Let's put it out of our minds and focus on Exeter this Saturday, the outcome of that will show where we are currently at with the development of this squad.

Fully agree Frank, a fantastic achievement for the team. Deserved a better draw. Forget about it and concentrate on the league!!!

The only prize money to get handed out in the league cup is to the losing semi finalists (£25,000 each), runners up (£50,000) and the winners (£100,000)
When Aldershot played United last season I read an article saying literally the only money a small club can make from the league cup is if you draw a massive club away from home.

Gutted about this draw, as soon as Bradford came out I knew we would follow.
The only good thing is we might progress and get a nice away tie at a prem side in the next round.
By the sounds of it money is not a factor in this cup.
