Ferguson said he's resting players on tuesday, could be bad news for us.I'm thinking about going to the game, the tension could be too much to stay at home and wait for the result 🙈⚽

Ordinarily, with both teams at full strength you would not expect Cheltenham to win this but with Ferguson saying he is making 11 changes as its his last chance to rest players before the play offs this gives Cheltenham a great chance of taking it to the last day. You could say Posh have earned the right to do what they want and clearly putting themselves first but it does question the integrity of the competition if they are allowed to make so many changes and go unpunished. I think if this does go to the last day it's back to 50/50 whether we stay up as Cheltenham will receive a massive boost on the back of a win and in truth I wouldn't have faith in us winning if we absolutely needed to.

To be honest I feel that what Darren Ferguson has said needs reporting to the EFL. Can they just play a weakened side?

To be honest, if we can't get a draw or better at Fleetwood and Cheltenham win back to back, we deserve to go down. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though. Even a weakened team is dangerous as the fringe players will want to impress to earn a spot in the play off starting XI/bench

Remember that one of Peterboroughs 'fringe' and mainly sub players has been Clarke-Harris this season, so you never know the actual side they put out might not be too bad. Obviously if it's a bunch of kids then that would be hugely disrespectful.

I think whoever they put out then the message has already suggested that tomorrow doesn't matter and is just a game to get through. Cheltenham will have received a boost by the statement alone as will their fans. The other thing to remember is that if Cheltenham win both their games then we have to beat Fleetwood on Saturday as a draw won't be good enough due to goal difference. Maybe i'm overthinking this!!

Surely if clubs can request a postponement if they have 2/3 players on international duty (as CHELTENHAM have done this season), a fixture should also be postponed if a club chooses to rest a number of players who would normally be in the starting 11!

Posh fans shouldn't put up with a half hearted attempt at just fulfilling the fixture. You've paid good money to see the best out of your team, if fit enough (they will be) you want the best out there, I know I would.
Disrespectful as mentioned.

To be honest I feel that what Darren Ferguson has said needs reporting to the EFL. Can they just play a weakened side? Huddersfield (safely in the play-offs) made 10 changes against Birmingham in our first Championship season and lost 2-0, keeping Blues up under Redknapp... who was ridiculously hailed as a miracle worker. Luckily didn't affect us that season (the following season Bolton and Birmingham both stayed up spending what they didn't have).

Good management I say. Derby County Carlisle, you would say Derby are up, so that leaves the play offs. Peterborough will get a point at least who ever they put on the pitch. They could get promoted still, without the play offs. Ferguson will play to win do not worry about that. Don't forget we had suffer one half hours and more third rate football from two awful sides seven days ago.

Massive game tonight. Hopefully the posh u12s can do us all a favour. Please let the weekend be a dead rubber so we can all enjoy our trip to the seaside.

Peterborough’s Under 21s are playing this afternoon and looking at the replies to the lineup post, they are playing a lot of academy players at Cheltenham tonight 🫠
Hopefully they sub players on if they are in a losing position and help us out - probably won’t though

Ferguson can’t make his own rules up

I'm sure if it affects us in any way we can repay the favour further down the line.

Don't get angry at Peterborough: we've brought this on ourselves.
Brian Clough said you can't be lucky over a whole season. If we go down, I won't be blaming Darren Ferguson, just like I didn't blame Bolton when we got relegated from the Championship.
On Saturday neither Fleetwood or Stevenage have got anything to play for - so we'll both be in the same boat. And away from home.

One thing's for sure,if Cheltenham win tonight,we won't be able to go negative at Fleetwood, five at the back etc, only a win will seal it.Lets hope it doesn't come to that🙈👍⚽
