I honestly think you’re both wrong. I thought we played well and made a game of it against a very, very good side. We set up well to a plan to contain them and every one of our players were up for it and put a shift in. Well done Martin, that was a much improved showing and the score flattered Posh. We could easily have taken a point from a game I was genuinely fearful we could have lost 4 or 5 nil.

I agree with this to an extent, I do think that MP's inexperience showed with the subs and the tactical switch after the equaliser, but for me, I expected nothing - we got nothing. I remember being embarrassed by them last season, we certainly weren't embarrassed today. Hopefully we can go on and pick up some points against Exeter and Port Vale.

Much better team won - simple as that. Burton players tried hard and made it difficult for Posh at times but ultimately they look like a potential Championship team and we are a potential League 2 team. Nobody’s fault - it is simply the way it is. When we had only scored 20 goals Ilson, prior to the transfer window opening on the 1st Jan and a decision was made to offload 3 out of 4 strikers, I’d say that’s when things went pear shaped. Not 100% sure whose fault that was but someone made that decision.

Another defeat today but at least we put up a fight.Peterborough are a good side and have a squad of quality players,i expect them to get promoted.I don't think we'll get anything on tuesday at Pompey,so the two games after that are vital, especially the Vale game.If we lose to them,i fear the worst.

There again, Seddon always comes on and pushes forward. I've mentioned it before; how England women won the Euros. A basic 11, then bring on the same subs to do the same job game after game after game. Crocombe Brayford, Sweeney, ANother at the back. Hamer (I'm still not much of a fan but hey-ho) and Bola. wingbacks/full backs. Powell, Helm & Harper - for once I agreed with the sponsors. But I also like Gilligan. Let's play with 12? Ademola & Hugill up front. Deji - sorry, mate, you're not cutting it... Kamwa on at 70 minutes. I liked Brayford coming off today - it's an attacking move. sorry John. It also gives him a break. Oh, Seddon.... see, for me, we have the players - it's about the right combination. PS Jasper Moon? Sam Hughes? This is a good squad.

Don't understand taking Brayf off. If you're hoping to score one or two you want Brayf in your goalmouth to stop them scoring again (like they did) He blocks shots when others don't...

I thought the starting line up looked decent.
Really thought throughout the game we held our own and played very well in not committing too much when they had the ball. Posh got very frustrated and the reaction from their fans showed this. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts I believe we have the players to be mid table but MP needs to get a consistent line up including subs. Crocombe Hammer Bray Sweeney Bola/Seddon Oshilaja Powell Harper Kamwa
Amyombi
I’ve always thought Helm along with Hugill coming on at 60 mins for Kamwa and Amiyobi, with the players aware of this, then this would make a real positive impact 2nd half. Powell did manage to get further forward today and I thought in tight situations further up the pitch he made a real difference in linking the play together…… Got to say I thought Helm looked a real threat coming on 2nd half with him just going all out with the time he had.
Not sure why MP was looking to put Hackford on with us 1 down? Possibly to give him agreed game time? When we equalised he changed his mind….. Don’t think he would have made an impact and we have better players on the bench….
Agree with Harper being Player of the match for us, he had a good game. Won the ball and passed it well also.

I have to say I enjoyed the game yesterday. Obviously not the result, that was disappointing. We had clearly worked at a plan on the training ground all week. We set up with a bank of 5 at the back, a bank of 4 across the middle and one up front. We conceded possession and more or less said see if you can break us down.
As a way of playing, it's not for me and can understand some of the moans above. The game developed into an intense battle and was certainly watchable. Peterborough struggled with it and increasingly I felt we were well worth a point. We worked our socks off.
As has been the case for many months though our attacking options are limited and predictable. When we got in possession, we launched the ball down the park and young Hugill struggled to make an impact. Failing that we relied on the usual long throws and free kicks which continue to produce no real problem for oppositions. Surely its time to look at that MP?
Yes if any team were going to score it was always going to be Peterborough and that they did on the hour. You felt it was game over. As it was we scrambled an equaliser and for the last 15/20 minutes looked like we might get the winner but it was not to be and they got the winner going into added time.
We deserved a point surely? I enjoyed the game.
Strange to take off Joe Powell and Brayford two of our very best players but we did score not long after!
I didn’t agree with the man of the match award to Harper but it was certainly the first game in which he imposed himself, looked like he wanted to play for the club and get a place in the side.
Good atmosphere in the ground with a packed away end but looking across at the terraces, I think we were back to our core 2000 support.
Oh for a Stuart Beavon up front who was introduced to the crowd at half-time.

We did score from a long throw yesterday insideleft and from Martin’s comments in the forum, he is a fan and will continue to use them, in his quest to ‘find a way to score’.
