The question of whether loan players will be as committed as permanent players is very much dependent on the player themselves. It's also in one sense disrespectful to suggest it.
You could look at a number of our loans over the years and say so and so fully immersed themselves in the club and gave their all, a la Sam Hughes first time around. (I'm not suggesting he isn't now, just pointing out how he was when on loan)
You could then look at others who could not be arsed in the slightest and we were glad to send back.
It's all about the mentality and circumstances. Bola hopefully sees an opportunity to get a permanent contract so would expect a gut bursting performance over the coming months. Adebomi will be looking to showcase his talent and prove he's up to league football and get a place in the first team squad at Palace next year. I expect both will be of the right mentality, as will Hugill as he's in a similar position to Adebomi.
One if the reasons I suggest it may be disrespectful is that I'm pretty certain we could name an awful lot of permanent players over recent years who haven't given a monkeys and have had no commitment to the club in the way of putting in a performance. Those who stroll around on the fringes robbing a living.
Loans work or don't for a variety of reasons and yes sometimes they just don't work because of style of play or injuries or just not on same wavelength as the team or lack of game time. Sometimes loan players then get frustrated and are looking forward to the time being over. So perhaps that's part of the reason for the question. But again I'd answer that permanent players are just the same, except they're looking for a move away.
Anyway, enough of the reflection on that.
I can't wait to see these players in action. Paterson in my mind is addressing some of the problem areas that we've all seen and bringing in what appear to be exciting options.
I like his rhetoric. He's so far my kind of manager. Well done Ben.

The Joe Powell thing, well if he's preparing for the next match then it's a good chance he'll still be a Burton Albion player in February. I guess it's something we don't need to know or worry about, personal.
