According to the FotMob app, despite having much less possession, we had the best 3 players on the park yesterday in Crocombe (8.1), Powell (7.7) and Brayford (7.5). The highest rated Cambridge player was Liam Bennett on 7.4.

A predictable result that had nil nil written all over it before a ball was kicked. I listened to Neil Harris yesterday and thought they don't sound very ambitious and we certainly aren't at the moment so no surprise with the score. Given the red card it has to be a decent point for us and in the circumstances with none of the bottom four winning it's as you were at the bottom. The worry is that Reading somehow go on a run and that then causes a number of teams a problem. Four home games in February and you would think we need to try and get to 40 points before month end and that then 50 point mark is in sight. Another thing from today. Mason Bennett has just played 100 minutes of football and not been taken off! Amazing in itself although don't know how he played. No Hughes again today when it's sounded like he's almost been fit for the last two weeks. Hopefully nothing go on there. Interesting few days coming up so see if there's any ins and outs. I have to take issue with your opening lines Annable... While the table might have suggested 0 v 0 was a likely score.... , from the ko and from the terrace where I was stood, the outcome looked far from predictable. I think there was ambition to win, or at least not to lose, on both sides. There was attacking threat, aggressive competition, keen individual battles and resolute defending. The number of cards shown reflects this (some stupid ones in there too) Brayford and Sweeney were immense! While we're re still not seeing the attacking threat we'd all like to see, I'd say that it was a hard fought Brewers performance and a great point won. I enjoyed it..... as much as I could expecting we'd concede at least one goal at some point in the 99 mins (most probably in the 99th) OK, Everard I take your point. I didn't see the game and perhaps my use of the phrase 'lack of ambition' was slightly incorrect when what I meant to say was that neither side had a great attacking record so nil nil was predictable. I'm sure both teams wanted to win the game, and it sounds like the intent was there, but with both teams averaging less than a goal a game throughout the season the score wasn't a surprise. It certainly was a good point for us and you can't fault our commitment especially the likes of Brayford and Sweeney but as i've said before we currently have an unbalanced squad with very few genuine attacking options so all the new manager can do at the moment is make sure we keep it tight and try and nick a goal or two along the way. The has certainly worked in the last two games so no complaints from me. Cambridge sound in the same boat as us where there is a clamour and desire for new forward players and somebody with creativity but i'm afriad those types of players are few and far between in the lower reaches of L1 unless you can unearth some young gems. Hopefully we have those two with Hugill and the lad from Palace. Well done to all those who went. I take my hat off to you!

He was a handful and our boys had to do a job on him to stop him scoring Taylor delighted by debut goal for Cambridge - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67976518

We might have found ours if Leko had arrived a split second earlier and turned Bola's cross in instead of crashing into the keeper and getting injured. That's how it goes sometimes...

I watched back the Seddon "incidents".
After stupidly kicking the ball away after going out of touch and then getting booked, Seddon is getting "wound up" by Lankaster (10) - just verbals but then there is a bit of a push and shove off the ball between the two right in front of the Burton bench and you can see Martin Paterson telling Seddon to calm down and Seddon is gestering at Lankaster - he's obviously lost it already.
The next time Lankaster gets the ball, Seddon is charging back and slides in - reckless - and defo a yellow challenge. Lankaster is writhing on the floor but manages to have a good look at the ref to see if he is getting a card out.
In the aftermath, Paterson says nothing, other Brewers staff get Seddon off the pitch and Lankaster is being openly congratulated by the other Cambridge players with high fives.

the refreshing change there is that Dino would have also got himself sent offf by ranting and raving at the ref
paterson is professional enough / more in control and reacted as above
Seddon will have copped it behind the scenes, probably in training today when they reviewed the game
