I've really enjoyed watching the women/ladies progress through the stages of this year's World Cup. They've done it right - get through the group stage any-old-how and then hit your stride in the knockout stages.
I think they'll do it today. It was a tough test against Australia and the England girls did everything at exactly the right time. Plus had a bit of luck.
I'm also looking forward to watching the game sober. I don't remember extra time in the Euros cos of the vast amount of Guinness I'd had - spent most of the game in the lav.
I'm hoping they stick with a winning team. The Toone/James thing reminds me a bit of the Hurst/Greaves decision back in that year.....I can't remember when it was - no one's mentioned it for years. It was the 70's, wasn;t it? I'd go with Toone cos James is more of a flair player to bring on later, with a point to prove.
It's so much better than watching the men.
