I think Yussuf has 'Pearson syndrome', in which if he doesn't score a goal he really doesn't offer anything else whatsoever to the side. If he can't score goals then we have a problem, he's not lightning quick, he's not a hold up player and not very skillful either so it's not like he can fall back on anything else, like say Zola can with his strength and holding up. I think Yussuf and Pearson are both 'Michael Owen type' players, in that in the 6 yard box more often then not they will score but seldom offer anything else while on the pitch, while having obvious plus sides the negatives are that they can make a side very one dimensional and easy to predict an example of this is the later Van Nistelrooy years at Man United.
