Just noticed Tyler Walker, Jason Shackell and Jake Hesketh in their side. I guess another club having money pumped into them. Lincoln have been on a roll for a few seasons now, not going to be easy.

Lincoln City sold all of their allocation ages ago I was told. This could be tricky then for home fans, it's pay on the turnstiles (home terraces) That means anyone can get through, it's ok so long as they behave themselves???

They will have a pretty good idea of demand for tickets and if there was a risk of an influx of Lincoln fans in the home stands they would make it all ticket. Hopefully back to winning ways this weekend - disappointed I can't make it.

If Lincoln had sold out, or indicated that they were likely to, then Burton would not be able to advertise cash turnstiles as being available. If the away team sells out then we would have to make it all ticket, albeit fans could still probably go to the club shop in advance of the game to purchase tickets as they usually do.

Saying that we must be the only club where away fans can walk about under the stand with their colours openly on display and get away with it!

I've watched their highlights.
There's a good little footballing team in there, fairly good to watch at times but it's clear they lack a bit of swagger with the results they've been having. Losing away at Gillingham. Conceding a last minute equalizer at Wimbledon, drawing with Shrewsbury but having two goals disallowed, losing to 2 absolute stunners away at Peterboro but then in among those games they had a very good 3-0 win against Rotherham in the leasing.com and they played Sunderland off the park at Sincil Bank.
It's not like us where they're carving teams apart and missing chance after chance, but they do create opportunities and it's only a lack of conviction that is stopping them from scoring some very good goals. Their issue? Only 5 goals in 10 league games and players snatching at chances and lacking composure, all except one player. Tyler Walker, if he gets a chance he usually tucks it away.
They'll either play a 4-4-2 with Tyler Walker and John Akinde up front or more likely 4-4-1-1 with Jack Payne playing off Tyler as a number 10. Walker makes some clever runs and uses the ball quite well when he has it. He's their main threat, without a doubt. Payne is a clever little player, always finds space, has a good eye for a through ball and is always buzzing about. Akinde will ply a part, he's a big strong lad who can take some stopping once he gets going.
On the right Andrade is a threat, he's a bit gangly at times and loves a shot from 25 yards but he's dangerous cutting inside and likes a low cross. On the left it will likely be Jorge Grant and we all know he can be a good player on his day.
Michael O'Connor is their equivalent of Quinn, he gets his foot in and he keeps them ticking over, usually with a forward pass. Harry Anderson and Joe Morrell are both combative buggers who can pass the ball.
Defensively I'm sure it will be Shackell and Bolger at centre half, Bolger is massive a real kick it and head it type but he'll give away a lot of fouls tomorrow as he comes through the back to try to win every ball. Shackell should be the dominant partner at this stage of his career, but he's not. It's Bolger who goes to win the ball and Shackell behind him. That\s where I think they struggle. Any ball in between the penalty spot and the six yard box and they can't defend it. The keeper Vickers is a strange one, he doesn't come for balls he should, he parries too many back into dangerous areas and he misjudges the odd looping ball, but then he'll make a brilliant save. I don't trust him.
The midfield is key. They will try to play so if our high press is on its game we'll win a lot of balls back on the edge of their area. Boyce will get lumps kicked out of him but his hold up play will be crucial.
As I said, they're a decent little team but they're shaky and if we can get them on the back foot early on. I fancy us to be good enough to beat them. We can't let them settle on the ball, if they start gaining in confidence it could be a tougher game than their league position would suggest.
Interesting to see they've not had a game for 2 weeks. I'm hoping that makes them rusty rather than fresh.
Even more interestingly. Young Jake Hesketh isn't having the impact I'd have expected him to have, rarely making the starting 11 and not doing much of great note when he has had his chance. I thought he was great for us and would go on to play at a higher level. I hope if he gets off the bench he has a stinker.

Tolerant and liberated to enjoy the contest in a sportsman way ,has players we shake hands after a match, why should supporters not tolerate each other and the result is the result . Must say though with the amount of dickheads following football, segregation is important, but a casual fan here to watch the game is most welcome

Lincoln City a couple of million up on the brewers in resources. Sincil Bank capacity 10=130, average Attendance 8-925, after the Cowley brothers a big ask for any manager to come in Michael Appleton was given the task to maintain at least League 1 consolidation. Shackell=Connolly=and some former Brewers=Walker=Hesketh sitting 18th 5 points of the relegation places.,So for me a standard league 1 club where points gained are vital, Here we go they will be chomping at the bit for the game. Hoping a little bit of the pace,we have 45 minutes to score 2 and give us a chance, Second half they will be on the ascendancy, and tiredness could effect our play. =Broadhead =Nartley=Templeton will they be fit. Brayford=O"Toole=Sarkic a big miss. we need Akins taking on two big uncompromising central defenders. We should have at least a point, beating teams in the bottom half of the table is a must for a top 8 place

It was someone at our club who said to me that Lincoln City had sold all of their allocation ages ago. They must have been mistaken.

To be fair, most clubs get sent an initial allocation and then if all of those get sold a further allocation can be sent.
Guessing they sold what they were sent but not up to full away capacity.

I didn't go so won't comment on performance, but it's not an ideal result again...

I didn't go so won't comment on performance, but it's not an ideal result again... Very poor. Lincoln didn't win, we lost.
If I could describe this game (and come to think of it, most of our home performances in the league this season) in one word, I'd probably go for impotent.
We just seem incable of shooting, instead choosing to lay it off, only to balls up the pass and lose possesion.

I went today foolishly expecting a win so I must say that I came away quite disappointed. We made them look good.🤔

I was a little surprised at how we lined up with fraser left, Edwards right and Broadhead starting with Temps on the bench. We never really recovered from the early goal, another conceded from a corner. We will have to work on those. There goal also came from Daniel dithering on the ball in the first minute which lead to the corner. It wasn't working well and then Broadhead had to come off. I would have started with him on the bench tbh coming back from injury. Good effort from Boyce but that was about it first half. Edward's didn't look effective on the right. When Sbarra came on I would have put him right instead. Jake Hesketh became more influential for them in the second half. In fact Lincoln looked more like a top 6 side than where they are in 17th. Overall a bad day at the office, we lacked any conviction despite having more possession. Could be worst, could be Derby. Listening to Cocu on RD on way home nearly fell asleep!
