Enjoyed reading the posts. Good to see us playing well and scoring goals again, after a bleak period especially at home. Commenting on Annable's post, I would say the unquestionable player of the season by some distance must be Lucas. he has played all over the pitch doing a tremendous job wherever his position has been, and in his best rolls as attacking winger or target man causes havoc for the opposition. Am I the only one who was filled with dread when I saw Kyle was about to take such an important free kick? Sorry Kyle! It was a superb strike, and I promise not to be so pessimistic about your shooting efforts ever again. I had recently reached the point where I was not looking forward to our games, but my appetite for watching our team is thankfully restored.

Shown as a diamond on Sky - so 4-1-2-1-2 but maybe that’s splitting hairs! To be honest Mike, Sky haven’t got a clue. The other week they had Fraser playing left back, Daniel as part of the midfield two and somebody else out of position too. They guess what they think it is. Andy G always comes out to do a pre-match interview with Radio Derby and local media and shows us the formation and team. That’s how we know it was 4-3-1-2. Sky don’t get the privilege of being in on that. Interesting Ian - I bow to your greater knowledge then. Good old Andy!

We are safe, Lucas gets the record and some good clubs to come to the Pirelli, a top half finish plus a brilliant cup run, consolidation in league 1 confirmed.

I take the point Insideleft made about the deeper sitting one of the three making it a 4-1-2-1 at times. I think my slight surprise was that Miller was left out after looking fairly bright last week. Managers view was that Marcus and Scott were always going to come back in after a rest last weekend. Even before Andy told us the team I speculated that he might play Marcus up top with Lucas and drop Scotty into midfield either just behind the two or as one of the three with Jamie possibly pushed forwards.

Much as I didn't think last week we played a genuine two up front, I don't think we did yesterday. A fluid set up, I suggest.

I was listening to a football podcast this week and they were talking about the impact of having a happy squad on results. The Spain trip this week must have contributed to yesterdays performance.
Great performance all round yesterday. Thought we put a shift in all over the pitch. I wonder where we would be if akins had played up front all season.

A good result sat,but shown our defensive frailties, 1st goal Daniel was missing, and,Buxton was day dreaming,And Collins allowed the shot to go between his legs. Collins made some crucial saves no more than Kee s header at 2-2. Playing a better team ,Collins conceding a penalty to go 2-0 downs would have been two much .Brayford is not the player that dragged sheff Utd of the floor--He has had to modify his game. Buxton has lost a yard of pace and relies on determination and experience, but can get caught out with pace. Macfadzene being a lower league player.being ,relegated with M-K-D from the championship, playing out of his skin with the Brewers.. Daniel shows promise going forward, but sometimes neglects his defensive duties, This was shown in a 3 minute spell, And of coarse Collins joined in. The spirit of the squad shown that togetherness, from the young players being at this level for the first time and the experience of the old heads, gels, and we are ticking over nicely. 5 points from the playoffs.censored.word in tenth, with only one spot available with 4 big clubs above us, and 5 of the top 6 to play. We have learned a lot from our squad had a good season.and move forward as a club, challenging league 1

Enjoyable game of football by both sides. Think our fitness really showed towards the end as they looked tired. What a player Lucas is for us, he just works so hard from start to finish! McFazean looked class again, how many CB can take a free kick like that?given the chance of course! Buxton played well alongside him and looks comfortable when facing forward and made some good clearances. Harness set up Frazer with a good pass for his goal but I feel he could do a lot more, seems to be going through the motions a bit again! Allen had a great game ran his socks off! Templeton made a positive impact and pushed us up the field when he came on.When he plays like that he's a joy to watch, not sure about that 1st Pen though? COYB 👍🏻

Don't know if this question has already been asked or answered before it was asked.... Apologies if I missed it... But... I'm wondering when was the last time we scored 5 goals or more? (in a proper game) Surely not that Cheltenham game someone mentioned already.. I'm thinking.... Someone will know.....

Lucas - feel the love Faz - solid, surging forward, leader Jamie Allen - has he had a bad game? Fraser - has he had a bad game? I think Lucas will win it - who'll come second and third?

Timmy Thiele even scored! Since then we’ve conceded 5 a few times against bigger clubs: Liverpool, Man City, Brentford, Leeds, Hull.

What exactly does the club do to get more fans interested ? That is a good question, I'll give my thoughts when I've got more time. ☺️

That is a good question, I'll give my thoughts when I've got more time. ☺️ There is still more that is being tried, reaching out to the newer communities, looking at posters/comms in their language. Further enhancements to the family area. I think that there should be better ticketing options, but that is not straightforward with the existing arrangements. I like the idea of trying to gauge interest from the bigger employers, but then again there is always a kick back from the existing season ticket holders if offers are made to no season ticket holders. In the long run, the only way is to go for younger people and to that end, the use of the pitch pre game and the development of the family area has to be persevered with. It is clear that the level of football we play at is not critical, two years in the Championship did not lead to sell outs. So, in my view, there needs to be a pragmatic long term view taken, slow and steady growth... More seats would help.
