Roundly beaten today yet John Coleman still has to have a go at the officials and I reckon Lucas. Well it is to be expected from him I suppose. But like I said before the game, the way he has managed and supported Billy Kee has been admirable, so I’ll forgive him a moan on a bad day.

I thought Ben Fox looked very lively when he came on. No mardiness. I'm glad he has that attitude (if he does).
And I would contrast to a Meadowhall shopper who occasionally had a face like a slapped arse when coming off the bench.

At least Matty is handy for Meadowhall now and has time on his hands, with 8 starts out of which he’s been subbed 6 times. Shopping has probably become his main interest.

How very outrageous you should jump to that conclusion...

A great entertaining afternoon at the Pirelli made all the better by another win and 3 points.
Was a bit disappointed with Cloughies tinkering with the line-up before the game.
It was a sort of 4-3-1-2? I am 2 up front fan but I’d always play with real width and for me Templeton has to play. He’s a classic winger and can be in and out but he adds something different and was a threat when he came on.
Going out on loan has really brought Marcus and Ben Fox on. Ben came on only briefly and was assured on the ball. Bucko and Fadz solid. Thought all 3 pens a bit dodgy but who cares! Lucas will be a club legend. Crowd at 2900 I thought was good considering the away following.
Really looking forward to the last 3 games at home.

First half we seemed to be in control but somehow found ourselves 2-0 down, the goal just before half time was crucial, I just have to mention that a football expert in front of us said literally while Marcus had got the ball at his feet that he would not play Harness or Fraser again for the rest of the season, Marcus passed the ball to Fraser , GOAL !!! Second half was the most enjoyable 45 minutes I have witnessed for a long time, a big shout out to Templeton who had a HUGE impact when he came on and Ben Fox who for me has always impressed, and Lucas of course. COYB We are now safe and the Burton Albion that I used to watch with my Dad in all sorts of non league leagues (if that makes sense) will be playing in the 3rd tier of British football next season, That will do me big style, Proud to be a Brewers fan.

Season not over yet albeit slim chances of the play offs.
3 very tasty home games, should be 4,000 minimum in all 3.

But like I said before the game, the way he has managed and supported Billy Kee has been admirable, so I’ll forgive him a moan on a bad day. To be fair to Coleman, he's also been quoted as saying: “it’s very, very rare that I say we were completely and comprehensively outplayed but today was one of those days.” I can think of plenty of managers who would never have admitted that.

Excellent afternoon and it was a very entertaining game. You sensed the shackles were off from the first whistle and we played with a freedom that we've not really seen for a few weeks. I don't know whether it was my imagination but the pitch seemed better than it has done for a while and that really helped us with our quick passing game.
Disappointed with their two goals and the timing of them. Thought Daniel could have done better with both where he should have been more decisive at the back post and then let their man run inside him for the penalty.
Anyway, all's well that ends well and it was great to see us finally steamroller a team and we were still going for more at the end and never shut up shop. Although he made one mistake just before their first goal I thought Quinn was immense again and for me is player of the season. He reacts so much quicker to lose balls then anybody else, sees danger quicker than anybody and is generally calm and composed on the ball and keeps things ticking over.
The highlight for me was Fadz's free kick which was right out of the top draw and was like Beckham in his prime! You can sense that he is desperate to join in attacks and has started to drift into midfield regularly now and wants to join in attacks. Fair play to the bloke as long as somebody is covering in behind him! Probably Quinn!
A two week break now before the next game and hopefully results go in our favour and keep us within striking distance of sixth place. Exciting times!!

Loved the game but it was nice to get to the final whistle. I just kept thinking about that 6-5 Cheltenham game - At 4-2, I still wasn't convinced we'd win. I'm a worrier - what can I say? We gave Stanley so many opportunities (back passes, missed chances) that I could always see them getting back into it. I mean that in a jokey way, rather than a grrrrrrrr angry way.
I said a few weeks ago that the Walsall game was like a non-league game. Yesterday's was the same for me. But I loved it.
Having said that, I thought we were great. One thing not mentioned yet is that Colin Daniel pass to Marcus Harness that started off the third, crucial, goal. Faz's free kick, Lucas' penalties (the second one was hilarious - I think even he laughed as he fell over on purpose) Scotty's very important strike just before half time. Bucko solid at the back. Quinn outstanding (I think we need to get used to his once-a-month-suicide-back-pass) but calm down - how has he not got sent off more? Marcus - very good, good saves from Brad Collins (Accy had the chances....). Great to see Ben Fox back and Josh Clarke on the bench. Another two weeks to get everyone fit. Looking good. My heart was in my mouth when Brad Collins gave away that penalty. If he'd been sent off.......you know who.
Stood on the popside for once and had a right laugh. Gags about Johnson being subbed so he could go and do his homework, lots of positive, encouraging the Brewers, rather than moaning, loads of "oooooh bad luck" instead of "he's sh*te". Old school.
Doesn't the league table look nice?!

I did. 3 penalties, one cert, 2 dodgy. So did John Coleman think too. Nevertheless he was very complimentary about the Brewers afterwards, no complaints really they were well beaten. I don't know what to think about Lucas's penalty, so many players around him, ref closer than me and the telly replays not much help. Game was lost for Accy by then so no biggy in the grand scheme of things.

To be honest Mike, Sky haven’t got a clue. The other week they had Fraser playing left back, Daniel as part of the midfield two and somebody else out of position too. They guess what they think it is. Andy G always comes out to do a pre-match interview with Radio Derby and local media and shows us the formation and team. That’s how we know it was 4-3-1-2. Sky don’t get the privilege of being in on that.

It is splitting hairs. We did indeed have the same formation a 4-3-1-2 but it is often listed as a 4-1-2-1-2 when the 1 of the middle 3 sits in front of the back 4 !!
I think my point re tinkering was putting Fraser up and Wallace in and in turn Marcus up front. I would have just brought Templeton in for Boyce.
Either way a great game!
