I thought it was a good display, we created a few chances but just didn't take them, I'm happy with today's performance though.

I thought we did OK also. Some good passes and touches. They broke and scored the goal just as Diamond came back on after treatment - a bit of luck there maybe. Both the defence and Midfield put a good shift in. Adebola looked in good shape for a 37 year old, wouldn't want him playing against us. Williams also had some good touches when he got near the ball. Vast improvement on the Ilkeston game.

Get the right back position sorted and the defence looks pretty stable. I thought Adebola looked ok, as someone said I wouldnt fancy playing against him.

We played very well considered they fielded a FAIRLY strong team. Diamond and Holness look a good CB partnership. McCrory and Corbett good. Atkins pulled off some good saves espically in the first half right in the corner. Midfield looked good apart from Maghoma who didn't seem to be in the game in some parts. Matt Paterson was no where near with the pace. Dele Adebola played well considering he is 37. He seemed to do a Zola and win every header and flick it on. Yussuf was OK but not the best. All subs were good apart from Paterson as mentioned earlier. Shame Rowett didn't put Lyness in for 1 half.

Gotta say Ross Atkins played a blinder yesterday. Made so many quality saves. And he looks a lot more commanding than previous. Should give some of his doubters food for thought how he has played in the pre season friendlies so far. The defence aren't afraid to get in the way of balls and make the tackles and blocks either by the looks of it. Holness, Diamond, and Stanton look like a great trio of centre backs to have too.
Was great to see Matty Palmer look so comfortable when he came on too. He was a first year youth player last season. And now he finds himself playing in front of 3000 fans, with the first team. Hopefully he will carry on his progress as a player and play some Football League games this season.

One good game still doesnt convince me, he made a right mess of coming for a corner in the second half like he was doing last season.
