Thick and fast... The championship and lower leagues have such a hectic start to the season, whilst the multi millionaires flounce around only once a week, and complain when a midweek fixture arises, Burton are into their 3rd away game in a week...
Middlesbrough.
Tough game, honestly expecting absolutely nothing from it. But, we played them before in the cup, took them to extra time before losing, so maybe we'll nick something...!
Warnock was seen in a crazy cryogenic tank earlier, freezing the calf back to good health. But expect him to miss out.
Other absentees will be Jackson Irvine, and Turner (returning post Birmingham).
Nothing to lose, let's nick a draw!

I've got a bad feeling about this one. I remember the look on Garry Monk's face in his interviews after we beat Leeds at the Pirelli and it effectively ended his shot at getting them into the play offs so I reckon he'll REALLY want to stick the knife in. Bywater
Naylor Mousinho MacFadzean
Akins Lund Akpan Palmer Flanagan
Sordell VarneyThat's what I think will happen. Personally I'd be in favour of giving McCrory a game but since Flanagan came on yesterday I think he'll start on Tuesday. Can't see Dyer playing because apparently he didn't train all last week because of a knock and it was a minor miracle he made it through Saturday.

Buxton over Palmer and I think you're probably right. Can see Clough going for 0-0.

Did N.C. mention bringing in a loan or two by Tuesday in his after match spiel? Anybody betting? Fingers crossed for an announcement in the morning of another season long spell for beardy Blade?

I think NC will probably go with four at the back and one up front - As a back four....I'd go with Moose, Buxton, MacFadzean, Flanagan and play Sordell and Akins on the wings with maybe Varney up front (Lund Akpan Murphy in the middle)

Only reason I think we'll go with 5 in the middle is because their midfield and attack is probably the strongest we'll have come across so far since we've been in the second tier and the two wide lads will probably make it a back 5 most of the time like at Huddersfield.
Howson, Clayton, Forshaw, Bamford, Assombalonga and Gestede. That's ridiculous at this level. We'll see though. We had a lot of joy with 4 at the back last season grinding out those important draws. Only reason I put Mousinho in for Buxton is because of Assombalonga. If they get him running at Buxton there's only one winner.

Is Flanagan ready for 90 mins he's had no preseason (unless you count his agents play station) You'd have to hope a couple of loans come in to strengthen us What's happened to Woodrow?

He did mention he'd be trying. As for the beard, if it does happen I think it will be after Birmingham. The Blunts are in competition with us this season. If it is inevitable it will be once they believe they have got most possible advantage over us.

You may be right but I'd take Buxton over Moose with anyone running at them. Neither has any pace, one has a bit more experience.

I have been positive, predicting a Cardiff win, and not being despondent a away win at Hull, Being positive in this league, leads to disappointments. Still no points to show, The league table looks bleak at the moment. But some teams have played more home games, Middlesbrough away always a very tough fixture, even for the top teams of this division. Their attack is awesome the midfield brilliant, and defence solid. Any time is a bad time to go there, Burton at the moment have lost some key players, in a team that was always going to struggle in this league. Looking at a 3 goal defeat, And the season starts after the international break. Their manager knows the shame of losing to Burton Albion

Expect a hammering here Anything else a bonus It's a long way to go almost knowing we're going to come back with nowt. I'll be ecstatic if we could somehow nick a point but think our defence may struggle with pace and power again. We really do need Brayford back and Turner is a huge miss. Happy memories of the people of Middlesbrough but not a place I really enjoy going to watch games. Got a feeling I'll be getting back the wrong side of midnight with my tail between my legs after a bit of a drubbing. Season starts Friday in my eyes :-) (I'd even forgotten we were playing tomorrow)

Sorry Bucko but you're looking way off it at the moment.

Have to concur Royston. Bucko looks a bit overweight.
