Fixtures coming thick and fast, fortunately, this time, unlike Derby, it's the same for everyone playing Sat-Tue-Sat so fatigue and rotation should be less noticeable.
We won the reverse leg, 3-1, a historic result, the first win Burton ever had in the championship. The same again on Tuesday would be unbelievable. Though I think it'd be right to assume the vast majority of fans would be elated with a draw.
Sheffield Wednesday come into the game off the back of a 5-1 win at home to Norwich, their form in the last 6 is WWWLLW. Bristol did manage to get a 2-2 draw, but the majority of our opponents all lost to Sheffield.
Lets wait and see what happens... I feel 3 points vs Forest will be on Cloughs mind.

A point for me please. 3 points I reckon unachievable here but would probably be the result of the season if we pulled it off
I expect to see Varney upfront and lots of long balls into the channels.....

Yes a point would be a great result for us. Any injury news yet?

We've had less than a handful of games this season where we have been well beaten
I fear this could be one of them
So would def take a 0-0

Am sure Clough will have a plan, probably similar to the Derby game setting up for the point which would be fantastic in all honesty considering Norwich were taken apart by them.

Think that was Norwich giving up on promotion more than anything. The type of slump teams go into once they're beaten by Burton. Coventry never recovered lol. I hope we do a lot better than Norwich. Teams around us have all lost by a one goal margin... And we're slightly better than all of them . There's some hope.

(all that money spent too, £13m or whatever on Helda Costa)

Really debating about whether to go to this one or not.
I've missed the last 4 and we're unbeaten plus I've STILL not been back to Hillsborough to watch a game since being on the pitch for the disaster in 89. It's the only time in NC's career where I haven't dropped everything to follow him player or manager wise.
So all in all I think I'll put my feet up, sit in the office and watch in bet365 text, which is strangely addictive, be proud of those fans who do go and keep everything crossed that the fans. the players and the management keep up the brilliant work and sneak a 0-0.
Any point at all against them away from home and I'm sure we'll all be very happy bunnies again. Looking at the fixtures and predicting not too many of the bottom 6 will pick up three points tonight, pray Warnock keeps his Cardiff team honest away to Blackburn and hope that Zola gets his third win, if he doesn't even Brum will need to start looking over their shoulders.

I believe it was at Hillsborough where Clough played his final Premier League appearance and indeed, as far as I can see, final appearance in League football.
A certain Gary Rowett was playing that night too and other Brewers 'player', Des Walker.
And I was there...

The good news - McCrory is fit and ready to go. The bad news - Sordell and Turner picked up knocks, Brayford's knee might not cope with another game so soon after the last one (it was bandaged up at Bristol to be fair) and Kightly and Akins are unlikely to make it. I'd go... McLaughlin
Flanagan Mousinho MacFadzean McCrory
Christensen Palmer Irvine Murphy Naylor
O'Grady/Varney There's no way on earth we're going two up top against all of Wednesday's firepower and they'll really want to put us to the sword tomorrow night. They were our first big scalp at this level and I remember Carvahal looking particularly embarrassed in interviews after that game. They want the points for promotion but he'll particularly feel he owes us one.

Urgh. One day we'll be able to get our full 'first' team out. It's a miracle we strengthened in January,
Imagine that team without Murphy, Christensen or Varney...

We've a better side now, that front two looks pretty good and we put 3 past them early season and actually ran them off the park,

We've a better side now, that front two looks pretty good and we put 3 past them early season and actually ran them off the park, I think the problem with that is the team we ran off the park turned up expecting to walk all over us. Also about 6 or 7 of that Wednesday team possibly won't start tonight. We might be a better team now but they've strengthened as well with the intention of getting in the Premier League and they're bang in form apart from a freak result against Brentford and a defeat at Leeds where they really should have won. They've easily got the best attack in the league and I fear this game as much as Brighton if not more. Just my opinion but I think if we haven't got that yellow wall in front of our back four (which was very dodgy for periods on Saturday) then we'll get hammered, especially if we dice with death as we did on Saturday. They'll be everything Bristol City weren't. Confident, clinical and backed by a large, supportive and vocal crowd. And probably another homer referee.

This game is massive against a top club, playing for a playoff spot,We have a squad that will give 1oo per cent, My problem is that fans if beaten by the brewers, come away with a rhy smile on their face, and think it is a joke being beaten,by a club the size of Burton Albion When at the Pirelli,The team talk is.Look around lads ,If you dont beat this lot,you could be playing at this type of venue on a regular basis. Looking at our fixtures i can not see where the next point is coming from ,Pressure what Pressure . Sorry it is a loss from me 2-0

I think turner has to play if he is anywhere near fit tbh. We just dont win when both he and brayford arent in the side.

Well that's a strong line up!
Have a bit more hope after seeing that, but still minimal.
