Also have you seen his interview.
He went to find his son at the end of the game in the crowd because it was his 18th birthday today.
Nigel said he was a 5 month baby when he was last at the club and 17 and a half years later we got promoted to the Championship on his 18th birthday

To those amongst you who supported the club and stuck with the manager through the "blip" earlier in the season, you're the ones who've earned the right to enjoy today and whatever follows. I'm chuffed for Nigel Clough, his staff, the players and everyone behind the scenes that have worked so hard to get here and a special mention to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who was also in charge for a good chunk of the season. Everyone involved in the 46 league games contributed in some way, no matter how big or how small. Sincerely...congratulations and I hope Burton Albion can continue to upset the apple cart (anyone get hold of any apple juice today???) in the championship. I guess you mean the blip in March and April when we really could have sealed promotion or more? Some of us called for Matt and Shane to be brought back into the team and they eventually were with great results. To me they deserve credit for speaking up as well as everyone who went to home and away matches, who sang their lungs out, who got up out of their seats and cheered the lads on and came home without a voice deserve to take some little piece of credit for where we are today. Many people talk the talk but you see them sitting or standing quietly at matches and then harping on here about how much they support the club! Who are they actually serving? But yes, everyone involved deserves their due credit, and certainly Jimmy and David who left us top of the table with 41pts after 20 games, a 2.05ppg average! Thank you! And Nigel and Andy for keeping us level and on track to promotion! Thank you! But mostly Thank You to the players, they are ones who deserve the credit. let's all enjoy the moment and look forward to the future in the Championship! Up The Brewers!

Let's be honest, it's mental isn't it? After a few liquid refreshments I don't know whether to laugh or cry or go for a heady combination of the 2. If Ian H is reading, can we have 3 Little Birds next season? If Rayvon is reading, I heard your familiar cry today mate. Fantastic. You were perhaps luckier than us as we were sitting half a dozen seats away !!! On another note , here is Hamza's Tweet.. Best moment in my life!!! What a felling getting promoted to the championship with burtonalbionfc the fans were incredible!!!

How amazing, just got back down to the south coast, up at 5.30 nervous as hell all the way up but buzzing. On way back 4 red bulls 4 pro plus, 2 sleeps and about 10 toilet breaks, cant get Bob Marley out of my head, who thought of that chant, genius. Wowwwwwwwwwwww, sitting on the grass in front of those advertising hoardings in the southern division I would never have believed we would be playing all these big time charlies. Lets enjoy the ride where ever it takes us . I will not be able to sleep now!!!!!!!

Sending Palmer out on loan to Oldham was a masterstroke in my opinion.
Yes we had a 'blip' there, but we bought him back, and it rejuvenated the squad like a new signing had arrived.
Anyway....
No arguments about SCS/Palmer here gents,
Just remember, we're going into the same pot as Leicester & Man Utd for the FA Cup next season!!!
As Moreno would say 'Lamberlebala Jeff' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wURJRMJEuA)

Clough has a knack for cup runs though, doesn't he?

That's right, you and I were both quite happy with Flanagan. I don't think he was a problem for us until he got injured. But some of us called for Matt and/or Shane or both to be brought back into the team. Is that better?

Up The Brewers! if I could unlike this post 100 times, I would. Thank god for the moaning fans who "spoke up" and didn't let us enjoy the run in to the end of the season cos they'd prefer to whine about team selections and us being in poor form. Credit where credit is due. Thank god for the moaning fans, cos without them NC would never have picked SCS or recalled Palmer. The moaning fans see things much clearer than Clough, thank god for them and thank god he listened. He'd never have made the decision without the moaning fans. Thank god for the moaning fans who said Clough was and would screw things up. But most of all, thanks to the moaning fans who said the kids should be left out. If it wasn't for the moaners we'd have nothing at all to celebrate. Let's enjoy the moment? Just now? Not before though, cos the moaners needed to moan. All hail the moaners, the club couldn't be in better hands.

Go listen to the interview and then realise what a job has been done here and appreciate it. And celebrate

I certainly wouldn't mind playoffs and Wembley in the cup!

The most remarkable thing about this whole thing is to see the smile on Nigel's face. It is the only time that I have seen him really smile.. it is rather akin the Star Trek episode where Spock underwent a temporary transformation on a strange planet.; I think the analogy stands up quite well
