We're good at predicting results I put the jinx on them on my own trust me - didn't need the rest of you! Soon as I predicted a win for Peterborough worst result we were going to get was a draw BBC said we bossed the first half but Peterborough came back a bit second half but we were never really troubled That's a classic job well done away from home Our rivals at the top must hate this result

Yet another incredible result. Whatever our result on Saturday we can't drop out of the top two as we're 4 points clear of Walsall who play in the FA Cup so a little bit of breathing space. Their next league game is away at Donny on Tuesday.
Bring on Rochdale!

Reminds me of one of our 'most painful' wins which I Witter on about periodically. A true Cloughie special on Saturday 16th September 2006.. St Albans v Burton... We scored at around the three minute mark and, so it seemed to those of us who were there, we hung on for a very painful 87 mins. I hate us scoring early, I imagine it is going to end up being like Shrewsbury was on Saturday and more painful a loss to boot because of it. I suppose that it didn't happen , and yes we won rather than hung on, but more importantly it was sweeter because it must have been a very frustrating day for Mr Westly who actually I have a grudging admiration for!

I am assuming Nigel will stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation with Robbie back in his HM role with Naylor or Butcher pushing up when the opportunity arises. Stunning rearguard performances from everyone on the night and one well-taken goal early on secured Albion's place back at the League One summit. Captain John Mousinho was immense. Cansdell-Sherriff, likewise. Robbie Weir returned and added a robustness that Albion perhaps lacked against Shrewsbury. Yes I have taken coventry out of my sat nav Blades don't play again until Feb.6th so we will go even on games on Saturday, and with a win and 18 POINTS clear of them you can remove Bramall Lane as well.

Ah-Hem... We await Peacock's (of Funky's?) view once he has seen the 1min or so of highlights on the League Show, but by doing that it would be lazy and waiting for some edited highlights before he commits.

We should have had 3-4, Duffy, Butcher, Moose, Robbie all had excellent chances.

They were getting forward that much that I would suggest that it was more of a 4-1-4-1 as per the last few games. *** *** Based on actually being at the games rather than viewing highlights.

Westley SCATHING when talking about his Peterborough team last night
Westley Interview
Always nice to see him squirm. In other news one of their supporters backed us to win before the game going purely on the referee's stats. The same absolute weapon (Chompy is his "handle") reckons "good luck to Burton, but they're welcome to it. I wouldn't want to watch that dour garbage week in week out" and "what we're not good at is playing dour, big, physical teams in tough conditions in the winter. On a Tuesday" and so on and so forth and blah blah blah. Basically once again not getting any credit whatsoever for staying at the top of league one despite having to do it on a fraction of the budget of most of the clubs around us in the table. Posh ForumI absolutely love the fact that we're upsetting so many people by being top of the table. Bloody love it.

Westley had his players locked in the dressing room for absolutely ages after the game and did not come out to do press for at least 45 mins to an hour after the game.
Thought he was relatively complimentary about us. Said that on a windy night we won all the headers in both boxes and won all the second balls in midfield. Said that he wanted his team to learn from the likes of Gillingham and us.
With regard to the ref he was not that bad. One or two debateable calls but Posh are lucky that Maddison, their 11 was not red carded. Shoved Duffy into the advertising boards mid second half on purpose and then took a frustrated swipe at Duffy after he nicked possession off his bringing Duffy down. Should have been a yellow.
We never have a good record (as far as I recall) against Westley teams so last night was great to put that straight for once.

Great result and I was there with a whopping 200 other Brewers fans. I was singing Brewer Army all night. I thought they looked poor to be honest and it was a great result of the steak and ale pie boys! ha ha ha

For what its worth I predicted the win. Nice to get one over Westley and return to the top of the league. I genuinely think this squad can win this league and get automatic promotion. I still havn't seen any team to frighten us, its in our own hands, just need to keep focus and take in one day at a time to use the old cliché.

Burton are a fairytale, and its magical, just, not real, all the pundits waiting for the bubble to burst.I Enjoyed frozen, but this is better.and you can watch it from,AUG--to--MAY. Coventry-away--Shrewsbury-home-Peterborough-away,two away games to a top six team, humiliation against the Shrews, to come away with 6 points from the 3 games, keeps our dreams alive,What a performance by the players ,And of coarse the fans who followed them, A small town club, mixing and competing with some household names, with the championship in the distance, and a host of top-top grounds awaiting. Burton Albion fc,What a climax to many years of loyalty by the board, managers, players, and the fans new and old,,It can be said dreams do come true And fairytales are real and not just in books, .
