Absolutely amazing day from start to finish as the mighty Brewers complete the giant-killing and cement our place at the top of the league!
Easily up there with one of the best days in the 50+ years I've been following Burton!
I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that, although the ground did not sell apple juice, I made a quick detour to the nearby Tesco and stocked up on the fruity goodness before the match, which was perfect in washing down my half-time steak and ale pie!
Brewer army! Brewer army! Brewer army! Brewer army!

Felt a little sorry for the Wasps fans but..........At least the majority of them were home for final score, because at around 75mins they went ""Marching all together" to the car park. I was amazed with the abundance of talent they had on display....brewer army...brewer army...brewer army.

Had this condition for a few years now, and it's not getting any better, in fact it's getting worse, far worse. Trouble is my eyes, my eyes witnessing events on the pitch can't seem to correctly sync with my realistic brain. Same with the league table, look at League One for hours & hours, seeing my little Burton Albion sitting proudly on top, seemingly dominating many far 'bigger' clubs languishing below and yet, can't get my head around it, also Villa next season in the league! Huh!! Utter disbelief, poor head! Any idea what I'm going thru ? Not complaining mind, no,no ,no, guess I just never in my wildest dreams envisaged such a journey, but I'll cope, no choice I'm onboard the sureal Brewers Express.

I was trying to decide whether it was the best away day but I think Morecambe and Cambridge just shaded it in terms of importance at the time.
However Saturday is definitely up there considering the fact that most Coventry fans expected an easy home win against "little old Burton."
One of their post match comments was along the line of "I don't know how they did it."
Well I can tell you how we did it. Yet another team underestimated us and despite the disparaging comments, we do have some very talented players of our own, all of whom have commitment to the team rather than their own careers.
Some clubs do have one or two technically better individuals but none of them in this league have the team ethic that our players show and it is this that consistently puts us ahead of the rest.
Oops...I've given away the secret! (Don't worry...it won't make any difference to the "big clubs" we keep playing.)
I look forward to seeing further mass walkouts at away matches, like the one we witnessed on Saturday following our second goal!

Run away.....Run away.. how's you tm57 Is it just me or were the coventry fans the most boring, lacklustre bunch of supporters we have encountered all season, but there again if they have to watch that load of overpaid , slow, untalented, rubbish team every week, they will be depressed.

Terraceman went through the pain barrier for the Brewers cause on Saturday. But took my medication, 1 goal from Butcher and 1 goal from Beavon and then felt considerably better when 3 points came back to Staffordshire ! On a more serious note my back is much better thank you, still sore but managed to get to work today ! Thanks for asking !

Sorry to derail the thread. Back to the humongous giant killing of the Barcelona of Warwickshire...

I can't wait until Wasps ask to change the seats to Black and Yellow. Will be like a home from home if we play them in the FA Cup or something
