Wouldn't mind seeing more of Joachim to be honest. He's only played 42 minutes of league one football so far this season.
Biggest problem for me yesterday was that Akins was very poor and Duffy is much, much better in the no.10 role. For me it's either Duffy or Palmer in the no.10 and perm two from Akins, Nasser, JBW and Zeli for the wide players if fit.
The thing with playing the system we do is that if neither wide man performs then Beavon is effectively taking on a back four all on his own. He was even chasing his own flick ons at one point.

Forgive the rhyming but spence is talking sense. Most of our attacking is focused out wide, including goal kicks. Who tends to contest/win the ball most often for us from goal kicks? Stuart Beavon. So he wins the ball but who does that leave in the middle to receive the next pass? So the attack has to stay wide and gets held up because there are no immediate inward avenues, and it's common that when it does evolve into an opportunity to cross, our lack of presence in the box (and the opposition defence having had a chance to regroup) leaves the odds against us.

One other thing, I noticed a couple of occasions yesterday where one of our players virtually walked the ball direct down the middle from the edge of our box well into their half (once was Mousinho, the other may have been Butcher)... I wonder whether our reputation for wing play prowess is now influencing opposition defensive tactics... if so some renewed focus on playing through the middle could pay dividends
