Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said: "It's a great pleasure for me to switch on the Christmas lights and start the festive season in Burton. "Since I have been manager of Burton Albion we have had a great backing from the fans, creating a great atmosphere home and away. "The club has always been about supporting the community and making an impact in the town and engages with 8,000 people every week through the community trust. "In return we want the town to back its football club and I look forward to welcoming not only old fans but new ones to the Pirelli to watch the exciting team we have put together and help us to significantly boost attendances." And that puts pressure on him to stay til xmas at least! Lol Even on our wages Observer, I bet Jimmy's got a car...he can drive back if he's been snapped up elsewhere? LOL No...joking apart I think he'll be here until the New Year and possibly, really sticking my neck out, until the end of the season? I think he's started a job he wants to finish, like most of our managers, he's got a great relationship with the chairman and to be fair to Jimmy, it's perhaps a big jump from us to the Premier League and two back to back promotions in his first year would look pretty sensational on his CV.

I agree - there will always be a huge pull to finish a job and so the decision to leave us will never be an easy one.
Before I was a fan of Burton didn't Nigel more or less get us promoted by Xmas before moving on with a heavy heart?
Maybe JFH could do the same!!
That's probably pushing it.
I have faced the same dilemma playing PC football manager simulations in the past. I start with a non league club and build them but sooner or later I take the offer to go.
It would be great if he leads us through to promotion again but I just worry about all the managers at big clubs who will get sacked in meantime.
There's just so many sackings nowadays!
In fact I'm not worried just realistic. And we will have loads who want to take the job on if he does go of course. Including Nigel if he's still available.

Very illuminating ! I have said it before but I think it would have to be something special to tempt Jimmy away this season. He is on a mission here that he wants to see through.
