Just watched the league show, John Mac won't be too happy when he see's the replay of the goal, he should have done better and Timmy, well!!!!! Didn't see the penalty at the game but having seen it on TV it looks like a pen to me, no complaints about the result, they were better than us on the day but I am confident we will be better at Fleetwood. COYB. Spot on mate.

Yep I reckon it was a soft pen, another day another ref, well we've all seen it before. Moose handled BTW, not Phil, I had to watch the TV highlights to confirm that. Talking of trouble with fans, I didn't see any tbh inside the ground. Who were the youths outside in the car park red car parked where the coaches were trying to get in. Stewards asked them to moved before the game, then after the game the driver did himself no favours by having a spat with a steward then all the other stewards gathered round. We watched from the coach as the police arrived, the another youth started to kick off inside the car. Anyone on here we know, they were Burton fans, had the shirts on?

Definite pen, sat right in front of it. Phil moved his hand toward the ball (probably instinct reaction but that doesn't matter) and then pulled it back and stopped before carrying on thinking he had got away with it. Other way round we would be calling for it all day, every day.

Just had another look, yes it's definitely a penalty, and Phil too. My mistake I said The Moose.

There wasn't any trouble as such. Just the usual idiots who like to do all their winding up from behind gents in flourescent jackets and police officers. I don't know if anyone saw him but it was the moron who our lot were singing "sit down shut up" to everytime he sprang up to give the lino grief. A few other lads who were inviting us to a meeting of the minds outside were nowhere to be seen when I was stood outside with my mate whilst he was having his post match fag. Their Mums must have been waiting for them with their teas ready.

I've been to a Villa V Walsall match there before - a pre season friendly. Sat very close to where the Walsall fans were (with the villa fans - don't ask me why I was there - long story).
There were a row of about 4 or 5 of Walsall fans who spent about 30 minutes trying to goad some of the Villa fans.
Then a few of the Villa fans had enough and went down to do something about it and the Walsall fans stayed in their seats and bottled it.
Sounds like it might be same ones!
Was embarrassed for them that day as they had been asking for a fight and when they got a chance to have one they darent get out of their seats to have it.
About five minutes later some police arrived and the same walsall fans were trying to point out the Villa fans who came out of their seats to fight them
Lol

We were held up for 20 mins, the police took the driver away ( we thought maybe to breathalyse?) and the police eventually moved the red car across the road. Someone on FB said they saw a steward kick the car and that he was using foul language....it caused a right mess trying to get away.

Zeli was ok when he came on, full of running and really livened things up going forward. Shame he didn't get longer along with Timmy Thiele, I reckon we could have got something out of the game. As said earlier, not the best of games for Akins or Duffy, JBW did well too when he came on.

Hi again. We have a small number of fans who have been watching Green Street on repeat and think they are "lads". It's getting embarrassing more than troublesome. I saw the red car after the game but didn't see any trouble although when I pulled up alongside a riot van they had someone in there.
Looking forward to the game at your place it's a ground I haven't done yet.

I didn't think the Walsall stewards did themselves a lot of favours inside the ground either but what did annoy me most was the drunken foul mouthed idiots who decided that because they are the "real supporters" it's ok for them to muscle in to the centre aisle five minutes before kick-off, when all the well behaved supporters in that area had been in their seats since 2pm.
Some of them were that drunk they could barely stand (fine...that's a lifestyle choice) but then started being abusive to those of us who were simply standing our ground on seats we had occupied well before they arrived. I saw one lady who I know travels everywhere, taking a right mouthful of abuse from one lout who was being quite threatening towards her, just because she wouldn't allow him into a row where there were no spare seats anyway!
If you arrive just before kick off, you need to sit in the empty seats, wherever they might be and tough luck. Why do they think it's their right to muscle in wherever they like?
Unfortunately the stewards lost control of that situation and simply ran away, throwing out some young lad in the process, who to be fair looked as though he hadn't done much wrong, mainly I think because he was the easiest target and didn't look like he would fight back?
Then to add insult to injury, they tried to prevent people returning to their seats, who had simply gone off to the burger van or toilet.
Total loss of control by the stewards and disgusted by the selfish actions of a few of our own fans...get the message, this is not the Conference or Northern Premier League, if seats are provided, it's no longer your choice to stand where you like and certainly not annoying others who play by the rules.

Thiele has now missed 3 sitters this season, Blackpool away, Coventry home and Walsall away.

I experienced exactly the same as that at Burnley in the FA Cup game a few years ago. The big games bring 'em out unfortunately. As Saddler1 has said about his own lot, we've got a few day trippers who've watched Green Street a few too many times.
