Also watching 'live' on the internet. We're playing quite well but it's not quite happening for us in the box.

No complaints from me. We just weren't good enough today. O'Connor was probably my Brewers man of the match with Beavon close behind. I actually felt sorry for him because he was trying to be our entire attack on his own as the supporting players hadn't turned up. Fortunately I missed the goal as I'd gone for a swim in the health and safety disaster of a gents toilet they have there but you could see it was coming. The goal, not the swim.
To be perfectly honest I think Walsall did to us what we did to Southend last week and they did it brilliantly. Big big fan of their front two, Sawyers and Bradshaw.
Decent day out. Could have done without the goading and getting "offered outside" by the cockwombles in the stand to the left of us at the end of the game. I've a feeling they're not that "brave" when the likes of Millwall and Sheffield United turn up.
On to Fleetwood. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside...

Yes fair assessment of the game, we came on strong but too late, then the pen. Good move putting the food bar near toilets, where's the queue?

Fair assessment of the game and an accurate description of the toilets! The Ladies was just as bad... In one respect I am happier being in the slip stream rather than at the top, and I did not think that we get a lot from the game as the curse of the Manager Of The Month always strikes!

Shame but we weren't at the races today. Both Moose and Jimmy were brutally honest on Radio Derby after the game, saying virtually the same thing.
Several players didn't turn up today, particularly Akins who only occasionally showed flashes of what he can do but never really appeared to be under control. Duffy was off the pace compared to recent performances and Matty sweated hard but produced very little going forward.
A bad day at the office, although Walsall didn't look particular good either.
A decent performance at the Pirelli and we'll get our revenge.

Saddler in peace!!!! Sorry to hear that some of our feral youth got to some of you. You are right that if Millwall turn up they will be nowhere to be seen. They are becoming a problem and an embarrassment. Did you get a description if so contact the club.
On the game l thought it was a good game that could have been better if not for the woeful officials.
Good luck for the rest of the season!!

On the game l thought it was a good game that could have been better if not for the woeful officials. Good luck for the rest of the season!! I have had a soft spot for the Saddlers for around fifteen years when a little boy supported them who went to the school i worked at. In those days I would always when he told me that we would never be in the same League then I agreed with him..... So it was a great pleasure to go to the match today. I did not see the youth you mention but we met a lovely gathering of your fans in the Fountain pub (Backyard Brewery) before the match and found everyone friendly, especially those around and in the club shop. Actually it is the second time that i have been to Walsall as we played them in a friendly three or four years ago. We had just got back from holiday and arrived home to find the Burton Mail on the doormat. We read it and it stated that the game was at Walsall. We were sure that it was at Burton but as it was only just after 2pm we got back in the car and motored up the A38 and on. We got to the Besot at 2.55pm to find that the car parks were empty, the ground deserted. We weren't happy then either!

There was one clown (a bloke in his 40s with a cap on) who seemed intent on winding us up and giving the lino grief from the get go. To be fair where most stewards would just give you that vacant stare past you into the distance and ignore you these chaps seemed genuinely concerned and acted on it. It was a small annoyance on a decent day out. Agree about the officials. Thought they were quite weak and pretty much gave anything if asked. Unbelievably Mr. Kettle was much better last week! I hope we're both up there come the return fixture but at the minute I don't think we've got the goals in us. As I said before your two lads up looked the part and I think they may do the business for you. Loving the programme shop, by the way. I'm a sucker for stuff like that!

It was a day that on the whole left me thankful for what we've got. Our stadium for example - all-seaters continue to just feel wrong when you're used to the terraces. The traffic before and after is not too bad either at the Pirelli! Our team looks exceptionally comfortable at this level... we looked like we'd been in this league for years today... we clearly have one or two issues / missing links but perhaps these will be addressed over coming months. Agree with Spence, their strikers (note plural!) were an eye-opener with regards to what might be needed to sustain a challenge at the top of this league.

The best team on the day won for me, although we were not all that far behind them. I thought they were a lot more physical that we were, despite the small stature of some of them, and they scored a very good goal, tore us apart as they say. We didn't create much up front, as spence noted Beavs was on his own, though we did hit the post (with their defenders help) and Timmy missed a sitter late on. I thought our defence was pretty solid and put their strikers off their game, O'Connor was defo MOTM for me. Great support with 1300 of us, but fek I HATE sitting down!
Anyway, still top of the table on points! COYB!!

I was particularly impressed today by their no.10, Sawyers

That's a very harsh penalty... 2 yards hands by his side.
Not that it (probably) had an effect on the outcome but still...!
Onwards and upwards boys.

My take as it happened was that Phil seemed to momentarily stop as if it was a stonewaller, then realise he might've got away with it and so set off again towards the ball. The referee's was a delayed response as if the overall combination of events influenced his decision rather than the direct incident in isolation.

Just watched the league show, John Mac won't be too happy when he see's the replay of the goal, he should have done better and Timmy, well!!!!! Didn't see the penalty at the game but having seen it on TV it looks like a pen to me, no complaints about the result, they were better than us on the day but I am confident we will be better at Fleetwood.
COYB.
