Expecting a tough game today, although we're unbeaten away from home this season. As always, our away form is better than our home form. Really like your ground, been there twice before. Once when we won 2-0, wearing the pink kit and the play-off semi final first leg two years ago. Hoping we nick all three points but would settle for a draw. Quick questions: - Based on what i've seen, you (burton fans) seem to dislike Phil Brown. Is he the reason you also dislike the club?
- Do you still have the strangely shaped programmes?
- Where is the nearest boozer to the ground?
Cheers

I think it was the - "See you at Wembley next week" in the semi final programme that put most fans off the perma tanned one. As for the club, the ungracious way many (by no means all) of your fans treated us after we won the play off semi rankles. A number of threatening fans, coins thrown as we were celebrating on the terraces. Finally the physical nature of some of your previous players, Barry Corr for instance. I think the programme is now normal. Nearest pub is either the Beech on Derby Road, you pass it as you come in, or just over the railway bridge the Great Northern. A little further on past the ground on Derby Rd is the excellent Derby Inn, with beers from Wentwell. There is also a lovely social club about 8 mins walk away... Enjoy your day by the way, but not too much

And Barry Corr always throws himself to the floor. He got weir sent off last season. Thankfully he stayed in league 2

Hi,
There is the Derby Inn along Derby Road which sells Wentwell Beers and is very friendly. It is a ten minute walk to the ground, between the railway station and the ground. It welcomes well behaved footie fans of any persuasion and I can recommend it...
With regard to Phil Brown, it is a goes back to some, to us, slightly patronising remarks which are lost in the mists of time.
My other comment with regards to Mr Brown is that i hope my lucky knickers are more efficacious than his lucky underpants... again!
