I have been away since just after the Barnsley game having a blissful sunny internet and "almost" phone free ( I did have to get the results ) holiday. Having got back into cyber land this morning, I would just like to say how proud I am of the Brewers thus far this season and how positive and pleasant the reading of Brewers talk is at the moment, apart from the Sunday thread of course although it is quite funny, but I am choosing to ignore that. Edit:- We had a Rams fan with us and boy did I give him some stick when we got the results Can't wait until Sunday when we take on the once mighty Cov for the 1st time in the league, I predict we will more than match them and hopefully come out on top. COYB

Yeah, we are away with intermittent connectivity as well but have had to search for hotspots to get the latest news. We certainly have nothing to complain about, we have started this season where we left off last season and with some excellent new signings by Jimmy. The half-empty side says it can't continue while the half-full side says pinch me and long may it continue. Especially on TV vs Coventry, and I'll be back for that!
JFH has certainly put Burton Albion on the football map. COYB!!!

Agreed but I think we should add Ben Robinson, Nigel Clough and Gary Rowett to the list of people who "put Burton Albion on the football Map?" (As well as some very fine players throughout our more recent history.)

I do live in fear of the moment when the BBC runs a story along the lines of "it's rumoured that a top Championship club is lining up Ben Robinson as their next chairman".

If you cut Ben Robinson open, written through him like a stick of Blackpool rock would be the words Burton Albion !

If you cut Ben Robinson open, written through him like a stick of Blackpool rock would be the words Burton Albion ! it is a great shame that someone, a few years ago, hadn't thought to clone him, so that he was maturing ready to take over the role when needed...

I can just see Rick Wakeman in a black and yellow cape, rising through the dry ice clouds in the centre circle!
Phew..,must leave those mushrooms alone!

I always thought Mr Clough would come back one day. Must admit I think along the same lines. A project that I think would appeal to him.

Jimmy is also on Sportscene on Radio Derby Monday evening at 6pm. Listeners are being invited to call in and ask him their burning question.
