Didnt see him play in pre-season but seem to recall him scoring a cracker against us for Gillingham whilst on loan there. His only goal for the Gills.
Quite tall isnt he? 6ft 4 ish from the profiles I have seen so adds more height. Assuming that O'Connor is battling with Shane for the left sided centre back role (pending Darius' return to fitness), is this signing a back-up for Mous? or could he also play right back and be the back up for Phil?
Another young signing fitting Jimmy's profile of young 'assets'..........and another Irishman to add to the ever growing group we have!
Welcome Tom!

I also thought that he looked a good prospect from the little we saw of him in the pre-season friendlies, so I'm not sorry he's arrived eventually. Although, as cbh1 says it's difficult to see where & when he'll get a game, unless it's to give Mous a rest from time to time, which is probably the case - maybe it's taking a bit longer for Darius to get fit than was once thought or maybe one of our many centre backs will cover the full-backs.......we shall see in good time..........

I agree, it may be that we will see tonight, maybe not Flanagan playing but O'Connor may play instead of Edwards? I also expect Binnom-Williams will start, maybe instead of McCrory?

Could be a good signing, maybe Charles isn't coming along as expected, maybe Jimmy waited for his agent to agree to his terms? Has Jimmy seen enough of Hpyte? I saw Flanagan in preseason, can't recall being overly impressed but it was preseason. But he has only had 6-7 appearances plus a couple preseason games in a year, so doubt very much he will walk straight into the side. As I previously noted we are getting younger and taller. Another English player signs for Burton...Welcome aboard!

Hasselbaink felt his side were light at centre-half, particularly with Darius Charles still working his way back to full fitness from a broken leg. The Dutchman believes Flanagan has the necessary experience to do well in League One and wants him to challenge for a first team spot. Initially the Brewers wanted to sign Flanagan on loan, but with four loan players already in the squad – Zeli Ismail, Mark Duffy, Remi Matthews and Jerome Binnom-Williams – Hasselbaink was reluctant to use his final loan allowable under Football League regulations. But with MK Dons agreeing to cancel his contract, Flanagan was quickly snapped up by the Brewers.
